Coming back to ramble again.
I think it's a common misconception that Evelin is purely upset with Adam because he wasn't a good boyfriend to her and broke up with her. Which, don't get me wrong, is a perfectly valid reason to be upset, Adam sucked as a boyfriend (at least towards the end of their relationship) and then ghosted her afterwards when Evelin wanted to talk, not to mention the whole "he told me terrible things, things I wish he never told me" thing which wtf Adam. Also it's kinda implied they broke up pretty recently, at least I thought so watching anyway. Like seriously this girl has every reason to be upset with Adam, but I seriously doubt that that's the only thing fuelling this hurt.
It's mentioned quite a few times that Adam is acting really weird, by both Sarah and Evelin. Evelin says something like "he was always the nicest guy up until he started doing those investigations" or smth like that I believe, which leads me to believe that Evelin's not just upset because Adam (and I say this as a person who loves Adam) absolutely fucked up with her, but because he changed personalities so unexpectedly and inexplicably. Like I can imagine that that'd be so confusing, yes people change all the time but in such a 180 way? Plus Evelin seems to really care about Adam, so it'd be worrying to her as it is to literally everyone else, because she knows this man, and he's not acting himself. She's probably asked him what's going on as well, but Adam being Adam probably didn't tell her and shut her out, maybe because he also didn't know why he was acting weird, which would hurt especially if Evelin was the type of person who did trust Adam with her emotions when she was upset, yet Adam won't tell her anything.
This is also probably when Adam started being a jerk to her in their relationship, so it makes sense that more than anything, Evelin might be upset because Adam changed so drastically from the person she met and fell in love with, this person she cared about who was always the nicest guy did a full 180 personality wise and it cost their relationship, romantic and platonic because Adam just fucking ghosted her afterwards, and that would hurt, that would hurt a lot.
Feel free to disagree, I could be wrong, but I don't think Evelin was purely upset because of their failed relationship and subsequent break up, I can imagine she's also upset because Adam changed so drastically and with no explanation, which would be quite confusing and worrying, especially since Adam isn't known for his great communication skills.
