Man sleep paralysis would be great shit for hurt/comfort kinda like nightmares are often used for bees, no joke.
It’s literally a nightmare but more cruel ahah.
--
You know you’re awake, but you still have hallucinations, eyes wide open that you cannot close as your whole body’s paralyzed, instead of silence all you hear are loud whispers and various voices. You know where you are, but you can’t move an inch.
This moment’s often accompanied by a person you recognize covered mostly in shadows, that slowly walks up to you, towers over you and just stares at you with blank expression, not making any sound, as they slowly start pushing down onto your chest (sit on you, lay on you, kneel on you). You wan’t to scream, but no sound comes out.
You become unable to breathe and you feel like you’re gonna choke any minute.
If you’re sleeping with someone and you tell them about it, they can shake you out of the paralysis, when they notice your breathing’s suddenly ragged in the middle of night.
When you sleep alone you have to endure this moment, that feels like eternity.
This shit is extra frightening. Especially experiencing it for the first time, without knowing such thing exists.
