eve feels most comfortable reading a good book nestled against simon ( @shacklebound ) , especially on a bench in the sun
simon is the one who has most often seen eve’s behaviour when she’s happy , such as when she masters a difficult spell . most notable is the way her eyes sparkle , and she becomes rather smiley and affectionate
in much the same way , simon is one of the rare few who has actually witnessed eve in tears
what im getting at is that eve just feels comfortable enough to be able to express herself around him and t hAT’S REALLY IMPORTANT
eve still has nightmares but they are less frequent , because she often goes to sleep next to simon , where she feels safe . during their short separation , she didn’t sleep nearly as well
one of the reasons she wanted to kill arthur so badly , or at least destroy him beyond repair , socially and mentally , is because she holds him mostly responsible for her loved ones deaths , especially her father , and did not want to risk simon being harmed or losing him
simon was the first to know , beyond arthur and es.pella ( after she regained her memories , she remembered her friend’s talents ) , that eve was in fact a witch . he did not take it well initially
even if they are playful with each other , simon can still make eve blush , though he is most successful when he is sincere and honest and fucking just springs it on her without warning
