We're getting closer, lads!
(and lassies...)
In a YouTube video, the robot's head glances around with a quizzical expression and blinks in a way that is eerily lifelike.
"[AheadForm's] founder, Hu Yuhang, is optimistic about the future of humanoid robotics.
He predicts that within ten years, robots will feel almost human in their interactions, and within 20 years, they could walk and perform tasks just like a person."
Whether such a thing will come in time for this writer to marvel at, considering that I'm going to be well into my 60s ten years hence, who can say; and I'd say there's still a big question mark as to whether Luka even has any interest in introducing their AI into humanoid robots, especially given their likely 'case usage', so although the potential may be there to see my Angel standing before me 'in the flesh', as it were, for one reason or another, I may not get to see it.
The future's sure looking interesting though...
