"I do not want you forcing me to dance with every prince in
attendance tonight, mother." Regina sighed, staring back
at her reflection. She was dressed for a party -- one to be
held in her honor; supposedly. The past would however
suggest that her mother had other intentions for this night
which should have been for her daughter to enjoy. And yet,
despite any disparaging thought, when she turned around
to show her mother the new gown, she still smiled, and felt
her heart swell with anticipation. It would take only a kind
word. Anything affectionate to be said, and Regina would
easily count her night won.
