the way some parts are so poignant (the part about the Lethe legitimately haunted me) and the way the characterisation just WORKS like I’m reasonably sure most of interpretation of both Annabeth and Percy was fundamentally impacted by reading, also like the jealousy and the other characters cameos like I was (and still am) - alos go read Requium for the living that was the first one I read and it did something ti me physically but I’m ill so can’t really elaborate enough to gauge it justice
