Hi! 🍄🌼 I wanted to ask your opinion about something, is it ok if I find it hard to love my dad even though he does? I was afraid of him for 13 years (until he separated from my mom) because he was very strict, besides that when he got angry he sometimes hit things and made very ugly gestures, or yelled and scared me even though he apologized later, the damage was done, and although now he no longer behaves so aggressively with me (he still does a little, when he discovers that I am not a machine and that I can make mistakes, get tired, have a burnout and feel ) And even though I know he tries to apologize and even though I do my best to accept it and not realize he hurt me so he doesn't feel bad, it's still hard for me to love him So is it wrong that I can't love him even though he tries hard? Thanks for listening >_<
No its not a bad thing that you struggle to love him after years of abuse! It will take a long time for you to get there, and even if you never do, you never have to love someone who hurt you, even if they are trying to better themselves (or be a better person!)
