I think it's funny how AI is completely unable to recreate even remotely believable Space Marines despite the sheer excessive amount of Space Marine art online that it should have been able to scrape.

I've seen so much 40k AI artwork and it’s all trash; most 12-year-old kids could draw the armour to look more accurate.

There is something poetic about the fact that Space Marines can't be created without humanity.

I didn't really want to say anything about this but it's got to a bit of a point now.

It's blindingly obvious when someone's used AI to write their fics or drabbles for them. While I don't care if people in fandoms do, it's only fanfiction and it's done for fun, what I do care about is people trying to pass it off as their own writing.

AI steals from actual authors who have spent years, sometimes decades, honing their craft, and a lazy good for nothing feeds a robot a prompt and claims they wrote what it then spits out, or posts it without tagging it properly as genAI, which is lying by omission.

If you must use genAI in your posts, tag it as such. There's no shame in using it for fun, but if you don't tag it, you're stealing from better authors and lying about your craft. Better yet, write your own work. Your own effort will always surpass anything a robot recycles from superior authors.

We can always tell. We always know when you use AI.

Scammers, horrible people, DA staff doing stupid shit and promoting AI like it's their life blood and putting AI garbage generators on a huge pedestal for making a shit ton of money making garbage than real art and it fucking hurts real artists that make genuine art that are struggling to fucking live in this economy. "All art is welcome" my fucking ass DA. Anyway rant over, I'm gonna be posting more often in my Newgrounds now. It's about time I started actually posting my art there.

what internet hellscape do we live in that I just copied over an excerpt of text that I wrote by myself to a word-counter website, and it telling me that over 50% of it was AI generated (it used very definitive language in its claim!) only for it, an AI, to then offer to rephrase my human-written text excerpt to sound more ‘human’ and ‘natural’ USING AI.
