is anyone else creeped out about all these ai 'people' pictures for the sponsored ads? like wtf, get off me with the creep-o ai faces! i hate the ads to begin with an now you want an ai 'face' for me to dislike as well?
what ai generator did you use for your ocs?
I made them in Artbreeder! The site looks like it's updated since I last used it and now it's all confusing but before it changed I really enjoyed it, although it takes a while to get the hang of it.
It's certainly got its flaws - it's better at making skinny, pouty people than anything else, and I've struggled with getting long hair + masculine features, but it's a lot of fun to mess about in
(as I always do when I post Artbreeder pics I feel I need to be like okay this is sort of them this is kind of them they're not RIGHT but like-- they're getting there)
Creating "Persian God-King of Puns" with AI: Pt 1
I've been avoiding Stable-Diffusion UI for a while because every time I try to tame it, I spend hours and hours fiddling with prompts and settings with mixed results. Maybe it's my fault for having some specific visions in mind rather than using it for a brainstorming tool, but I had a fantasy in my mind that proved too alluring... the fantasy of a personal pun printer that could crank out silly jokes mere minutes after conception and faster than I could ever hope to draw them. I gave into temptation, and once again had to fight to produce this viable image:
For the 300th episode of "Movie Theater Time Machine" podcast, I suggested we review "300" cuz pun. I love bad puns. So, while watching the movie, I kept thinking how great it would be if I could have an AI spit out a realistic image of the Persian king Xerxes as a Persian cat. Funny, but maybe not enough to devote all the time needed to do it well. So, I once again attempted to tame SD, but the surreal odyssey I ended up on went about as well as I imagine attempting to train a rhino for battle would've gone.
INITIAL PROMPT-ONLY ATTEMPTS:
These were the better results. There were a few upsetting zombie-like ones. A recurring problem I encountered when using proportions that weren't a square was face stacking. What I wanted was for the AI to create a portrait from the waist up or something, but a lot of times it just stacked two cat faces on each other like a totem pole and called it a day. I mean, in "300", Xerxes was a total egomaniac, but maybe not "I'm gonna wear a crown of my own face" egomaniac.
I had to give up on going text-only for my prompt, so I went and grabbed a small image from the movie of Xerxes to use along w/ text prompts.
TO BE CONTINUED...
Found these gouache paintings from 2020 that i dont think i ever posted.
Anyone else notice that the AI for This Person Does Not exist has some interesting fixations when it comes to making people? For example: fake alpha male podcasters, fake republican senators, and knockoff versions of Pam from The Office?
Like this is literally just Pam with a few of her features changed slightly
Another one of my AI images 😁
Disco night 🪩
