aiden is the older half brother of sydney. he's a muggle, born in 1887. his mother passed away when he was a child, and his father remarried, having another son shortly after. aiden and sydney were close growing up, but after sydney began his studies at hogwarts, he started to distance himself from his muggle family to maintain his lie about being pureblood.

sydney is a muggleborn hogwarts alumni who, against all odds, was sorted into slytherin. he spent years lying about his blood status, making up a false history for himself to avoid discrimination. after hogwarts, he followed his muggle brother aiden into the army and eventually the great war. (born in the 1890s)

klara attended durmstrang and was a classmate of alexej kavinsky. her wealthy, ancient pure-blood family subscribed to blood purist ideology and pushed her to adopt their views. klara chose a different path and was cut off by her parents, having to fend for herself in a world quickly hurtling towards war. (born in the 1890s)

klara was originally meant to be a legacy era character but i was getting nowhere with her, she didn't even have a name for the longest of time. when annie came up with alexej, also a durmstrang student, i saw a chance to finally use her for something!
