7 years ago I strutted my gender-bender stuff on the catwalk for Fashion Week Ventura to raise money for a local AIDS charity. Besides having a blast, I met, became friends with and worked with a group of incredibly talented actors, artists, musicians, designers and generally phantasmagorical people all together. After weeks and hours of prep, practice, blood, sweat and tears, the epic weekend of creativity, awareness, glamour, beauty (inside and out) brought out the best of people both onstage and in the audience.
