We really are affected badly by syscourse and that deserves to be said. Before, we were syscourse/endo neutral. Didn't see much wrong with either side, and kind of agreed with multiple points. But it was getting harder and harder to remain neutral, to remain on both sides and chill, to mind my own business. It hurt. It really hurt. It felt like a war, and I could see how much pain it brought people. It really made me upset and triggered all the time.
Then I split a persecutor with very anti-endo views and someone extremely pessimistic towards internet drama. And that's Aiko. She is a representation of a lot of anger towards a play pretend, kitten gloves, type approach towards internet drama and discourse. She is pretty fucking pissed towards people who will judge others for not being "open" enough, not being "accepting" enough. She hates when we are judged for the smallest of things. And towards anyone who tries to insert discourse into other people's lives. She fucking despises the way that identity politics can become fucking insidious.
And so, she is a trauma holder, holding trauma of being cyberbullied, attacked and betrayed online. She is a trauma holder of some childhood memories as well. She HATES walking on eggshells around other people, and doesn't understand why we have to be polite towards those who will just continue to judge us.
So yes, syscourse is fucking toxic. It is painful and traumatic. And she sees no point trying to be polite towards people who want a sanitized view of trauma or systems in general. Because it's not pretty dealing with a disability and a destructive mental disorder. Being a system is fucking painful, and she is proof of that.
If you want to know why we are anti-endo, its because we can't abandon one of our own and block them out forever. Aiko is right, it is not fair to tell trauma survivors that they need to shut up and just be polite. It is traumatizing. So if you want to judge us for feeling hurt by internet discourse then bite me. I am not punishing my own alters, I am not punishing myself, just because of what other people think. It is not fair to me. And I frankly don't care what's fair to other people, if you are hurting me, you get the boot.
