Hockey player bakugo who refuses the first-aid provided at the ice rink and regretfully goes through all his interviews with a bloody nose and a busted lip. He’s rushing through them, giving short agitated answers because he’s annoyed. He knows you couldn’t make it to his game today because of work, and he’s not annoyed at you but the feeling of victory feels much less satisfying without your kiss to top everything off.
Anyone who sees him can tell that he’s pissed, walking with an obvious slouch as he goes back to the changing rooms, theres dried blood on his uniform now but he’d rather get a new one than let strangers touch him. Most of his teammates have already left by now, for sure they’re off on a celebratory round of drinks together that Bakugo would rather attend with you but you’re not here.
So he enters the changing room, the lights in the stadium are starting to be shut down in certain areas already as they get ready to close up, and he’s groaning in displeasure as the adrenaline seeps out of him and he’s finally starting to feel the pain. But he loses all focus on the pain when he sees you sitting at the bench in the center of the changing room, smiling and waving at him. He blinks at you thinking you’re some sort of mirage or God send but no you’re real and you’re here.
“Congratulations on your win babe” you tell him and he’s still somewhat in shock, with all his energy spent he decides to walk up to you and hug you instead, slouching as much of his weight on you as he can, you can tell he’s tired. But he didn’t quite care foe his exhaustion anymore, you smiled at his childish whenever he missed you, those soft moments where he can’t admit that to him, the good things in life aren’t as enjoyable when you’re not there with him
He stays quiet for a bit before he mumbles “What’re you doing here”,pulling himself off you and sitting next to you instead, and you giggle at him, holding up a first aid kit “who else is gonna clean you up if i don’t?”
Crying I just love hockey player bakugo
him just😔 sleepy tired low-key in pain bkg. quickly cleaning him up and dragging him home. also still lecturing him that he still needs to get cleaned up when you’re not around. he barely listens though, eyelids blinking slowly like a friendly cat and you know he’s not listening so you just peck his cheek. you walking out hand in hand and you driving him home. him telling you snippets of todays match and you saying how you watched some of it on your phone in the ride over to his and he flicks your forehead for that.
