Considering how similar Tairn and Xaden are, and how similar Sgaeyl and Violet are ( in terms of character ) I wonder if Asher Sorrengail was very similar to Aimsir too, and if Lilith fell in love with Asher because he reminded her of her first love, her dragon Aimsir.
