“never do that again” with Stancest :3
"My heart!" Stan gasps, clutching his chest and swaying forward, body bowing inward heavily. His opponent, some trumped up twenty-something, falters in his attack.
Ford, who's just finished trouncing his own college-aged adversary, cries out his brother's name in alarm.
Stan looks close to crumpling when his attacker moves to check on him and it's in that moment that Stan strikes. Using the moment to his advantage, he lands one on the kid's upstart chin, sending him down.
Still, not wanting to press his luck, Stan grabs one of Ford's elbows and tugs, urging him to follow. It takes longer than Stan would think for Ford to get the message, but once he starts moving the two are off in a flash.
Once outside the tiny bar in Miami, Stan hails a cab and tells the driver to book it to the docks and, more importantly, their boat. It's not until they're on it, safely inside their cabin that Stan realizes why Ford was slow to escape the bar and why he hasn't said a word, even while Stan was yammering excitedly on the way home, laughing about those kids being suckers.
So much so, that Stan is completely unprepared for when he's taken by the collar and shaken so roughly his dentures rattle, "What did you think you were doing?! Of all the crazy-!"
Stan only manages the beginning sounds of Ford's name before Ford is taking his face hard in his hands, forcing their eyes to meet and Stan sees not only rage but a deep seated fear, a wild desperation as Ford's voice breaks, "NEVER do that again! Do you hear me, Stanley?! Don't you ever-! I couldn't-! I can't-!"
He's breathing hard, hysterical, and Stan doesn't understand what the big deal is. He wants to explain how what he did was the oldest move in the book. He wants to point out that his acting wasn't even that good.
He wants to point out a lot of things.
But much to his surprise, Stan doesn't get to do anything but swallow any words he might have said, as Ford covers his mouth with his.
Stan freezes. He becomes completely solid, because Ford... Ford's lips are on his. And not in some passing, family friendly way (although he's never quite understood those kind of families, platonic lip locks or not - the idea is foreign to him). Ford's lips are hard and hot and hungry.
Stan just makes a choked sound because, honestly, he thought he'd seen everything, done everything. You reach a certain age and you think there's nothing new.
It's just the same. Oh, maybe in a different package, but the same. This? This is new...
This is Ford's lips on his, Ford's tongue swiping at his inert one, Ford's...
Stan's face is on fire. His eyes insanely wide as they dart side to side, as if to show how his mind is cataloguing this and then Ford pulls away and he looks...
He veers back from Stan like a car fleeing the scene of a crime, his hands ruffling his dark grey curls as he curses. Sharp, vicious, deeply blue words - ones Stan can't comprehend Sixer even knowing, much less saying - as he moans painfully, "Oh my God, Stanley! What did I just-?"
"I'm-I'm-I'm-!" it's as if Ford is stuck on a loop, a skipping repeat of this before he can manage a wretched whine, "That-that was a mistake!"
Stan blinks, feels outside himself when he asks, "It was?"
"What are you-? O-of course it was! You-you're my s-sibling! We're family! I-I didn't..."
The words get quieter, smaller as he trails off, shame clear on his face as he ducks his head, hands hiding behind his back like when they were kids and Stan finds himself humming in answer.
It's not so much in agreement as in...no other way to respond. Because Stan doesn't think it was a mistake. He also thinks he knows the words Ford was going to finish, knows why Ford was so upset.
And more, he thinks that faking a heart attack isn't something he's never going to do again, because he's sure he's going to have one now, as he grabs Ford and drags him in for another kiss.
This kiss - so different from how Stanley normally kisses. Different from how he is in general. Soft and sweet and gentle.
Not exactly heart attack inducing, but his heart sure is beating at an erratic rate. More so when Ford let's out a bewildered sound, one that just edges on the cusp of sounding like pleasure...
Stan is definitely never going to stop.
Not if it means he's going to get more of this.
