maybe leaving like he did this time was too rough ,  at least in comparison to how quick the Water Breather would scatter himself from the rest of the Pillars .   still ,  this  “ mark ”  sounds so impossible if it means standing against personal ghosts ,  especially when Giyuu has had an almost forever trying to face what  warped  memories he has of ...  them .   that’s right .   if it was Sabito that had lived instead of him ...   the current Water Pillar is filled by nothing but a martyr who didn’t rightfully earn his place among the strong ...

whenever the love pillar says his name, iguro swears that his heart skips a beat ( or three ) and is left breathless for a moment. despite falling in love at first sight, these jumble of feelings still aren’t one’s he’s used to. but that’s neither here nor there. 

when she presents him with a gift, he’s rendered SPEECHLESS. so it’s a good thing she continues, even if they are like blows to his gut. metaphorically anyway. lithe hands reach out and very carefully pluck the present from her own, their hands brushing only minimally, before he carefully pulls apart the wrappings to reveal a new porcelain friend. kanroji……. is really cute.

two tone eyes flick back up to her face, heart threatening to stop at her smile, and the snake pillar nods.   “ they are. dinner sounds good. “   then he bows his head and raises his still-cupped hands.   “ and thank you, kanroji. i’ll treasure this. “   kaburamaru even slithers a little further down from his perch on iguro’s shoulders to get a close look at his new companion, before seemingly hissing in approval.
