Ai no Keshiki - Indigo Views opens in Tokushima on 1/20! If you haven’t sent your cloth back yet, this is your last chance! All cloths need to be in Tokushima for install by 1/15. This length of indigo dyed cloth from Tokushima has spent the past 4 months with us in the Textiles studio, enjoying the view as the seasons changed and students have developed and completed all sort of new work.  Now it’s on its way back to Tokushima to join forces with the other lengths of cloth that have been similarly living with 450 participants from nine different countries.  The cloths will be assembled for an installation titled “Ai no Keshiki – Indigo Views) at the Tokushima Prefectural 21st Century Center Event Hall in Tokushima’s Bunkanomori Park from January 20 to January 28, 2018. #indigo #ainokeshiki #awabunka #awaculture #藍のけしき #阿波藍 @ainokeshiki @iuartanddesign FOR PARTICIPANTS: Emails were sent out last week by the wonderful folks at the Tokushima Prefectural Office with information on sending your cloth back to them for the installation.  Just in case you missed it or had any questions, here’s what you need to know: Please carefully remove the staples that are holding you cloth in place, fold the material, and return it using the small self-addressed envelope that was included with your box and cloth when it was shipped to you in late July.  Please return your cloth by December 20th.  There is no need to ship the box back to us.  You can hold on to it because after the installation we’ll be sending your cloth back to you for you to keep, and the box has been designed to become a frame (by removing the center part along the perforated lines) for you to keep it in.
