In honor of a character update, here’s a bit of a q&a...
Meet Charlotte Prince-Holston, the owner and manager of Airdale Stables.
Q — Is there anything that unfailingly makes your character laugh? Friendship - if that means anything. Often Charlotte admires the way the closest around her can sometimes take a deep stare into her soul and exalt a loud nasal laugh out of her face before mustering the expression up to be a simple trick of the friendly facade she puts up. Those closest to her, they know what that stare is.
Q — Who is someone your character admires or looks up to? Have they ever met this person? Charlotte has a hard time finding admiration into one single person. She often spends a lot of time attempting to figure other people out - including herself. Taking on “people projects,” she has come to find a passion or glimpse of heart she prides herself in with the people around her. She has met multiple people... and she has looked up to every single one.
Q — Does your character have a favorite smell or smells? What are they? Hay. The dusting of sweat, old stone and wood, and the sweat aroma of the barn brings a silence and comfort inside of her heart. Not including the soft nickers from the expectant horses as she greets them each morning - though they do help.
Q — Outside of horses, do they have any pets? If not, would they like to own one? Charlotte has one notoriously known shepherd with far better breeding than she expected. Willing on a leap of faith to throw her money on the puppy she saw leaning on a town friend’s gate, she now owns a prideful and expensive Belgian Tervuren (whatever that means.. ) that goes by the very original name Chief. He does his own thing. And no - Charlotte does not need to deal with anymore pets.
