Why Airplanes Stall
Stalls occur at the Critical Angle of Attack —the point where the wing can no longer produce enough lift to overcome weight.
As the wing approaches the critical angle of attack, the separation point moves forward enough to exceed the design factor of the wing.
Stalling angle is usually between 15°- 20° for a typical airfoil.
