"I didn't realize how behind I was on my record-keeping until I was looking at my spreadsheet this morning," Erin announced as she placed the cardboard box of manila folders on her desk. "These boxes hold all of the real estate deals I closed within the past eighteen months. For some reason, not all of the info was entered correctly on my spreadsheet. So, I'm going to spend the next few hours going through every single one of these folders and making sure the property addresses, client names and closing dates are all entered. That way, I'll have all of the information I need in one place." She grabbed a handful of the folders and took a seat. "While I do that, you can tell me all about the TikTok dances I have to learn."

LOCATION: Touchback, Downtown.

JJ was supposed to have a relaxing night. He had picked Mia up from daycare and dropped her off with his parents for the weekend. He had headed home to get freshened up and had taken an Uber over to Touchback. He had ordered himself a pint of beer as the game was starting, and nibbled on some wings during the commercial breaks. It had all been going well. Then, Aisha had shown up and taken the seat next to him at the bar. Now, JJ was making his way through the second basket of French fries while listening to her drunken ramble, the game that he had planned to watch that night long forgotten. "Right, right..." JJ stated, absentmindedly as he picked up a French fry and popped it in his mouth. "Mhm... Mhm... I hear you." Needless to say, he had no clue how this conversation had started or where it was headed.

Nicholas & Aisha | Flashback | Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned

Nicholas didn’t know what would have become of him if he had never been found by Mathias to join the Nomads. He loved his life in France with them. He was unaware of the fact that Mathias was his Sire, under the impression that he it had simply been a coincidence that he was a hunter turned a vampire among so many other former hunters. He had been naive back in the day. But he had been happy. He adored Mathias, whom he would follow everywhere and do anything for. And he loved his newfound mate, Aisha, who was centuries older than himself. She was beautiful, smart, strong...and sometimes an absolute pain in the ass. Their relationship was an explosive one. The kind that put cities on fire, started wars and ended dynasties. Sometimes Nicholas wished it would just end him because god, that woman could drive him crazy. There was mad passion. Once his lips were on her there existed nothing else in this world. But that passion continued when one of them got angry. Resulting in blood boiling, furniture breaking fights beyond believe.

“Zut, Aisha!” he exclaimed in French while smacking his fist in to the wall to avoid tossing the vampire in front of him through the room. Nicholas’ anger issues had always been his weak point. Besides, if he were to touch her it would probably and more badly for him than for her since she had the years.
