Modern Moroccan architecture 🇲🇦
I’ve been in a lot of Moroccan homes, hostels, souks, and medinas. The living spaces I’ve inhabited were all very traditional with intricately embroidered cushions adorned with couches that run the entire perimeter of the living room. While beautiful in their own way, my favorite style is still a space that is crisp, clean and modern without clutter.
The owners and employees here kindly invited me to have lunch with them and I asked who was the architect of this beautiful space. It was actually one of the partners who doesn’t have a background in design, nor was he traditionally trained, but just loves design. This goes to show you don’t need a formal education to do something if you are passionate about it.
My tired body loved this space and I spent hours here. But alas, we must move and find an actual place I can rest for a while.
Could you design a building with no education or training?
