'Privet! I hope everyone is satisfied! Let the world conference begin!' Russia was happy that he was finally the host after decades. He got to see all the countries together, making friends and becoming one with each other! He wished someone was one with him too, but it was a hopeless case.
He sat down at his chair and waited for Germany to stop the fuss all the other countries created. France and England were, kindly and friendly, fighting again over God knows what. America was running across the hall pretending to be a spaceship. Japan was playing with his paper-folding games, as usual. Italy and Romano seemed to be quiet for the moment, even if the pasta they were eating was probably the reason they didn't destroy the building.
Everyone seemed to be fine. All had their glasses of vodka next to their seats, even if some had brought their own beverments. Like his friend China who was sitting quietly next to him with a nostalgic look.
'Selfishly, I think of the past – how nostalgic, aru...' he hummed a line of a song Russia didn't recognise.
'China, are you alright? Are you enjoying yourself? How are you?' Russia patted his friend's back softly, for him. China probably hurt.
'My body hurts all over, aru.' China replied with a matching line of the same song, probably Russia connected somehow with his reply.
'I know what you need! You, my friend, need five shots of vodka! It helps me get over my problems right away!' he replaced China's full glass a little bit closer to him.
'Russia...I am not feeling so good! Your hospitality is great, but...I've got my own problems!' China seemed a little bit dizzy.
Maybe his land is a fighting field right now and he feels all those deaths, Russia thought, as a good friend, should I comfort him? My boss accepted me hosting the World Conference just to make new friends. If I comfort China, I can be his friend!'
'You can tell me, China! I am here for you! Do the others bother you? Because, if so, I can handle it with my magical metal pipe of pain anytime!' Russia took his family-friendly weapon out and all the Baltics screamed in fear.
'Aiya Russia! I-It's a problem of the past, it can't be changed...I made a mistake and I can't go back and fix it!' China appeared to be intimidating to the other countries, but Russia just let his smile disappear. 'I-It's all because of yesterday's eclipse...'
'The Lunar Eclipse, da? The moon looked like it was painted with blood!' Russia stated as he was intrigued by the event the previous night. 'And how did the lunar eclipse make you look like you aren't enjoying my hospitality?'
'I used to watch the moon with...a particular someone in the past,. And one night like yesterday, she left.' China tried to explain the reason of his grumpiness with a period of words.
'Ah! That's why in your song you mentioned that you were thinking nostalgically of the past! That explains a lot!'
'Will everyone shut up and sit down so we can discuss a serious worldwide matter?' Germany's demand echoed in the room and everyone obeyed without hesitation.
'You'll tell me later...Wang?'
'Hao...Ivan.'

Russia had his reasons for calling his first country-friend with his human name. Firstly, that certain someone was obviously a woman. A human woman in the past, which was quite long for China. It was a matter of his human feelings for a lady. Countries can't feel such strong emotions unless they understand them. And that is common when it comes to humans.
To sum it up, Russia wanted to talk to China's emotional and sensitive side. Wang Yao, not China. China is strong and powerful, but Wang Yao is a human being with flaws and a beating heart.
China called Russia, Ivan, back for his own reasons too. They don't differ a lot, it is rare for countries to refer to each other with their human names. It was obvious Russia needed friends that saw his inner personality. Everyone, even China, was intimidated. But for once...he seemed warm.
China exited the room with his notes in hand. Another boring meeting spent on afterwar damage and environmentally clean and helpful resources combined to create the perfect buildings capable to be stable in case of an earthquake. The same suggestions and topics as the last world meeting. Everything was a boring routine, especially when you did the same thing for four thousand years.
'Hey Wang!' he heard Ivan's calling him from the door 'We can go for some pirozhkis and...chat about your little fixing problem!' he messed with Wang's hair, something that would make Wang attack him with a wok but then Ivan was his friend. He can't attack a friend. Especially when he holds the magical metal pipe of pain behind his back.
'Hao, Ivan. You know your place.' Wang sounded depressed. Ivan fixed the position of the scarf his kind sister, Ukraine, had gifted him so the cold wouldn't "hit" him. By seeing Ivan being warm, Wang felt a little bit warmer too. He, of course, didn't have the proper clothing as his friend, but something inside him kept him alive.
Ivan entered a dark alley. Wang didn't feel sure about Ivan's purposes. He felt that he would trick him into another one of his "friendship connecting sessions". An oblong small dark alley wasn't the place to feel sure around Ivan or Russia.
'Privet! Dva pirozhki pozhaluysta!' he handed the shop assistant some coins with a huge smile. When the pirozhki were ready he handed one to his friend, Wang and continued walking across the alley.
'How is it, Wang? Good?'
'Shi, Ivan. I like it!' he was eating it like a savage, which made Ivan laugh.
'How about you tell me the story now?' Ivan suggested and ate a piece of his pirozhki.
