Going to the AJKC
Sooo today when I woke up, my 'kendo mother' (the lady I live with in Japan, who is 5th dan kendo and loves to call herself this title) asks me if I want to go and watch the All Japan Kendo Championships today.
I'm like, is this a trick question? I actually didn't even know it was on!
So off we went, got there about 11ish, and watched the most amazing kendo all day long. I feel so inspired, and I only feel so much luckier to have the amazing friends that I have here in Japan that can teach me and help me reach the level of kendo I one day hope to be able to do.
Seeing the best of the best do their utmost highest level kendo to compete for the no.1 kendo prize in the country was just such an experience, one that I never even expected to have!
So today was a pretty good day ;D
