(It's now back to it's price of 3.99) Now I downloaded it and kept it in my kindle PC reader, not reading it just yet....finally after catching up and getting a chance to slow down...I wanted to read something I haven't read more than once ( which is what I do with my favorite books). So I opened up my e copy of 'Affairs of the Dead' by A.J. Locke. OH. MY.GOODNESS! This book is too much for words. It's paranormal and it pulls you in from the first page. By the end, I was agreeing with Ethan ( a main character) and said that the story and Selene's life ( the main, main character and heroine of the story) was like a soap opera. I won't give it all away, but I want to say that I was laughing so hard in some scenes I was crying and screaming at other scenes in shock, disbelief, and laughing all at once. My son had to glance at me several times to see if I was losing it.lol..Like Selene and Ethan finally got to sit and talk and take a breath , so to speak, after all the action and drama. I was talking to the screen's pages (like this was a movie) and said why haven't we seen Andrew. And wouldn't you know before the book ended, guess who shows up at Selene's door? ANDREW! I howled with laughter and stomped my feet as I sat on my couch. And what he said not only Ethan's mouth dropped and Selene's but mine as well ( at least I was thinking we all had the same expression). When I got to the end of the last page, I was ready to get to the next chapter. Once I turned the page I was thrown for a big loop. That was the end. And man, it left me screaming for more. I so hope we get another book. We need to know what happens next with Selene and Ethan, Selene and Luna (her dog- that's a good little tale as well), and Selene and Micah. Especially now Andrew is back and let her know that Selene's not only his unfinished business but he wants her and always will....this is just book1!
