Today was the day she had been waiting for, and Esther was more than just a ball of nerves. They told her that they’d call back today, and it’s entirely possible that she didn’t get the role. But she wanted her friend by her when she got it. Did she consider Hannah her friend? After these years, absolutely, undoubtedly. When she didn’t know what to do or where to go, she trusted Hannah to guide her on the right path. She hoped that the reverse could be the same, even sometimes.
Even so, Esther was always pretending she felt differently - her facade was one of the reasons acting came to naturally now. Pretending to be calm and relaxed was difficult in these times, especially when it came to a role that she had put too much thought into.
Yet, here she was, knocking on the door to Hannah’s flat, hoping that she didn’t physically look like her mental state.
