Her hands were busied with stowing the supplies used, yet her mind wandered in the quietude of the moment. There was a serenity in the space that invoked memories in her, of days spent in lessons of another sort - of the fusion of art and flowers, and of life - but most particularly of the one who had become more than just an instructor or superior. A mentor. An advisor. The one who saved her, in more ways than one. Captain Retsu Unohana.
The reverie which accompanied the chore was broken by poised intonation, to deliver what she assumed to be a conventional exchange. To express, or impress that the class in which he so graciously brought his expertise to had come to a close. Yet, she found herself taken aback by the words that were uttered afterward. Or more so by the undeniable sincerity in them.
