The landscape here came up in my research, it's based on Ciudad Perdida in Colombia! One big theme I'm working on with Charalá and Aketzali is the reclamation of cultural artifacts and sites by marginalized groups.

Working out Charalá and Aketzali's backstory while listening to music on Youtube, when this song comes up and the hyperfixations derail (focus?) everything I'm following the thread to see where it leads Fun fact: A few weeks ago when I was still progressing through TOH, I decided Aketzali and Charalá would have time based powers exclusively because they're possums and possums came up in the time travel episode of TOH So I guess it's thematically consistent that TOH barreled into Charalá and Aketzali brainstorming again

I commissioned this art when I was still developing Aketzali and Charalá's dynamic. I'm still chipping away, bit by bit, at understanding these two better. One thing that hasn't changed is that they are still basically the disaster lesbian abuelas of the cast.
