Yes, but unfortunately her fate was a gruesome one.

A captain of the guard always faces the foe head on.

And the first to fight will be the first to fall.

Her mentor carries the shame of his failure on his shoulders.

There was originally a planned storyline in the original comic where there were four main bodies the Parasite consciousness would hop between, one of which being Undyne.

If Parasite was once an op Sans, now he is an op asriel?

Well, yes, the original intent inside of Twisted Fates was that they were going to be inside the body of a Sans. However, after some thinking, I reworked the character to be an Asriel to bring some more diversity into the current pool of outcode characters.

In the first page, we see gerson, will he have a role in the story?

Yes, he is one of the few survivors of the initial Parasite purge, being a retired Royal Guard, you pick up a few things about survival.

He is haunted by the loss of Undyne to the Parasite, and carries her spear to commemorate her loss.

So... What's Parasite about?

Oh, well, that's certainly a broad question for my first ever ask ahah

First of all, comic, but, nonetheless, I will try to explain the base premise as much as possible without spoiling any story details.

ahem

Imagine you are a creator, creating your own perfect Undertale AU. You are having the time of your life, creating this spin on a universe you love, when one day, you reach one character. No matter how hard you try to come up with a design or premise to this character, you can't. You fail over and over again, and eventually all your motivation has been drained and you throw in the towel. Leaving this creation in the dust to rot away in the back of your mind.

But the world persists.

After all, it was mostly finished, really with only this key character leaving a hole in the story. And not only the world lives on. Through sheer determination, the unfinished being survives. Appearing as an amalgamation of broken code and unfinished artwork, forever changing in form and shape. They were treated with hostility, an outcast from society. So much so, they were slated for execution. However, on the day of, they were treated with the first kindness they had ever felt. However, now a spiteful being of hate and wrath, they abused that kindness. The Parasite lashed out at the kind soul, consuming their soul, using the code and magic from their mortal body to repair their own soul. However, they hated the way they looked, wanting a solid body that didn't change. So they took hold of that beings appearance.

Using their hate, they then consumed the rest of their world's code, even the core building blocks that form the structure of a world, leaving it a mess of broken bits and pieces, suspended in the void. A certain someone took notice of this and was displeased. However, they were met with more than the usual threat in a world they visit, and had to face down a much more powerful opponent. In the end, the being was sent back where they came, however, not without The Parasite coming into contact with their glitched soul, breaking the Parasite's perception of reality. This lead to the realization that there was more beyond the code of their world.

That there was a whole multiverse. A banquet of souls, just waiting.
