OMG MY COUPLE IS OFFICIAL FINALLY!! This episode was so cute because it was just Melphiera and Galbraith reassuring one another that they value/love each other completely, flaws and all. Both of them think they’re not good enough for the other and they’re so humble, that’s what makes them a perfect couple! Can’t wait to see how their engaged life goes from here.

The romance stuff obviously front and center today, but arguably the most important thing we got is learning about the duke’s family monster grounds. This is HUGE because they basically have an unlimited supply of food that could be used to end hunger in the kingdom. They literally can’t run out of food so all you need is Melphiera to industrialize her monster cooking process and to change the culture surrounding food in the kingdom. Because of the whole animism religion thing that’ll be tough. It’s hard to get people to completely change their worldview, but if anyone can do it, it’s this pair.

I knew I disliked this bitch Lady Celia, but holy shit she’s insufferable. She’s a few steps above the typical step mother in these series.. at least she didn’t actively sabotage Melphiera or try to hurt her, but she’s so nasty and clearly taking out some sort of grudge she had against Mel’s mother on her. How you gonna have the audacity to tell Melphiera if things don’t work out with the duke, she can’t come back to her own home lmao. Speaking of Mel’s mom, I hope we can learn more about her soon!

The duke showing up personally to bring Mel and telling her dad she won’t be back for spring was so good. We love a man who takes care of business lol. The dad is a sweetheart too so it’s nice to have one of these shows where at least ONE of the parents isn’t a complete POS!

Most girls would be a little disappointed to have to spend the night at the fort and Melphiera just sees it as an opportunity to test out her cooking recipes and feed the troops lol. Mullan and Zeth ended up being great taste testers and got treated to some amazing royal moodle! If Melphiera can finish her research and industrialise the Aristide family land with all those monsters, their army and people would never go hungry again.

Speaking of Melphiera’s research, her husband to be and mother having the same condition is such a crazy twist of fate. She was too young to really understand and treat her mother’s condition, but she’s now able to help Aristide and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with. Maybe the cure was in monster meat this whole time?

We got some really cute Aristide and Mel moments today, I love how much he fawns over her and praises everything about her. We’re also getting less formal too! She called him by his first name for the first time and they both seem soo happy in each other’s company.

That embrace at the end ahhh I love them. Very sweet episode as usual

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! ✅ 8/10

Melphiera and Aristide were one of my fave couples this year and I’ll miss them so much! Their relationship and this show as a whole were criminally underrated. It’s got a few flaws, but for the most part, I really enjoyed it! I love seeing unconventional characters come together and accept one another even as society rejects them! Melphie is going to make an amazing duchess for Galbraith and the soldiers are lucky to have her cooking for them!

The way Melphie was so nervous meeting Aristide’s men so she hid behind him as he walks in the dining hall is so cute lmao. Can’t get over how cute that dress is on Melphie either, but where was she hiding them canons this whole time lmaoo?? Aristide chose very wisely. 🤣 I love how all the troops are just instantly smitten with her as well!

Galeo picked the WORST person to try and scare off with that snake wine because Melphie’s crazy ass lives for that shit lmao. Seeing him get drunk under the table by our girl was so funny. I had a feeling Blanche was the dom of the relationship, but seeing her just drag Galeo away because she thought he was bother Melphie was hilarious. I feel like he’ll make Melphie a sword just so she can be his drinking buddy

“Watch over me please mother” 🥹🥹No more hiding in the shadows or worrying about being rejected! Melphiera has officially been accepted by Galbraith as the future duchess and she’s finally getting used to life as Aristide’s fiancée! I need a second season! I want to see the Sirius Wolfpack, the “holy” land of monsters and our two lovebirds continuing to grow together! Really my only issue with this show is that we got sidetracked for a bit and had a couple episodes that didn’t really advance the plot. I would’ve liked to have seen a little more on the monster research and changing societal perceptions towards monster meat front.. BUT it is a long story, so we have plenty of time to do that in the future!
