✮ Acco’s Day ✮
And we return to… This.
Police officer: “You’re going away for a long time-”
Kealoha: “Unhand me at once! I’m the nanny. Did you hear me? I AM NANNY!”
Police officer: "We'll see what the judge says."
Today is Acco's birthday but it's also a work day...
Acco: “Read away the trauma. Read away the fear. Ooh milestone.”
Alejandro: “Come on sweetie, it’s time for daycare. I’ll never trust that nanny service again.”
Acco: “Daycare?”
At Get Growin' Up daycare…
Alejandro: “Morning!”
Piper: “Good morning! I’m the daycare townie and I will not get off this bench for the duration of this conversation no matter what the Watcher does. I guess I’m just annoying that way.”
Acco: “Papi, I’m scared.”
Alejandro: “It’s going to be okay sunshine. You survived the erratic imposter nanny, so daycare is going to be a piece of cake. I love you.”
Acco: "Love you too Papi."
Piper: "Is he gone? Yes? Ah I'll get off this bench then."
It’s the first time Acco has met so many toddlers and infants. He’s intrigued and I’m stuck in a glitchy, photo-taking nightmare.
Denise: “Hello I’m Denise.”
Acco: “Hellooooo Denise. I’m Acco.”
The nightmare/day continues when Acco ventures out into the playground.
Helmuth: “I’m dancing, trying to forget my name is Helmuth.”
Denise: “Waterrrr.”
Acco: “Look out, I’m coming down the slide.”
Carter: “You shan’t! I’m working here with my flour and cups. I’m an artiste!”
Piper: “Snacktime! Look at you all sitting in your highchairs. A Watcher miracle.”
Helmuth: “I love snack time. Do you love snack time?”
Acco: *thinks* "...Yes."
Helmuth: "I'm Helmuth. Wanna be friends?"
Acco: "... Yes!"
The day continues and much fun is had. Lifelong friendships are forged, PB&J's are eaten. Milestones formed. All in all, Acco had a very good first and final day at daycare. If this wasn't so difficult to manage then he might have done this before now.
