“Aye. I got better. I thought you’d be happier to see me Meg.”

Hector Barbossa is a CAPTAIN --- the stars set his course. He has spent years gazing up into the expanse of the heavens, allowing the stars to lead him towards t r e a s u r e. This night, however, there is something different about the way the sky is shining. “Do ye know much about the stars?” he asks the woman who seems to be utterly transfixed by the constellations. He pauses then, really looking at her for a moment. “Don’t you know it ain’t safe out here for a w o m a n at this time of night. This be a pirate’s port.” He knows how vile pirates can be ---- he is one.
You have me thinking it, damn you, so now you can suffer right along. Barbossabeth for the ship thing.
insert ship; receive answer : accepting : @aladyatseawho is more likely to hurt the other? He’s more likely to hurt her, I think. He’s not bound to the same rule of conventions I think she still would be, to a degree, and while I really, truly believe he can be loyal and steadfast and seriously the most dedicated thing in the world, I also think that he’s not going to be delicate with feelings. Coupled with the fact that he holds so much inside and can come across as cold and a bit uninvolved, she’s bound to get hurt by him more than once.who is emotionally stronger? That’s really hard to quantify, honestly. I think they’re both emotionally strong, willed people. She might be more so, though, because I feel like, to a point, she’s not afraid to express those emotions? Whereas he’ll keep them locked up tight because betrayal is something he’s very familiar with and it would take…Gosh. A lot of work to get him to stop being so guarded. He’d miss out on a lot because of it.who is physically stronger?Have you actually met Hector Barbossa? He’s strong as a fucking ox. Definitely him. He’s got more leverage, anyway, being so much taller.who is more likely to break a bone? Probably Hector. He’s a reckless fuck. Like, it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets banged up fairly regularly just doing as he do.who knows best what to say to upset the other? With Hector, definitely accuse him of having no honor or backing out on what he says. His temper will flare faster than you can say ‘parley’. Or put words in his mouth he didn’t say. With Lizzie…Gosh. Lizzies out there, bear with me, okay. I’m pretty sure treating her like she’s weak or incapable would probably get her temper up, actually. She’s so capable and she knows it.

“No, not really. Referring to me as your cousin does though.” Everyone knew familial relationships, but that didnt mean that you needed to come out and say them. The younger batches of demigods got uncomfortable with intimate relationships when you came out and said who you were related to for some reason.

The rock skipped forcefully over the waves. Mariella stood at the shoreline, a second stone clenched in her right fist, while her left hand kept her eyes shielded from the blazing sun. Slowly, the hand holding the stone started to raise, readying to join its brethren already sunk to the bottom of the sparkling sea — when a sudden movement caught the corner of her eye, and caused all action to pause.
A woman, standing about five feet away in the water, waving at her. She returned the greeting, though in a somewhat bashful manner, for she had spent the last few days completely avoiding any human contact, and now that record was broken.
“Hello there…?” Mariella hoped she did not sound as awkward in reality as she did in her head.
“You’re very flushed- are you feeling well?”

‘Mama, I’m fine,” Carina told her mother, though the young girl was starting to feel ill.

She thought he liked blue.
That wasnt really the problem here. The problem was that Barbossa had had a very distinct interior decorating scheme for years now. Golden skeletons and black trim was suitably intimidating and decadent. Soft blue and silks were decadent, but more like a rich noblewoman than a bloodthirsty rouge.
However, he couldnt really start off the reunion with his wife with an argument. That’d be a nice how-you-do after twenty years apart.
“Margaret. How the blazes did you get this past Jack?”
It's all about atmosphere; the sound of waves on the beach, a clear night, stars overhead, good conversation, and then whoops was I toying with your buttons? Yeah that's a thing. (seduce my muse)
how would you seduce hector : accepting : @aladyatseaAre we sure this isn't something he didn't accidentally-on-purpose cause to happen? Because that sure sounds like a thing he would accidentally-on-purpose cause to happen.Hector Barbossa is actually a huge secret romantic, pass it on.
