inspo: gabriela, by katseye. | “back off, of my fella―gabriela” Wednesday watches your little interaction with her new “fangirl” Agnes, showing clear signs of displeasure as her eyes send daggers towards that hand’s of her, seemingly too close to you.
warnings: a ton of grammatical errors, amateur writer, not proofread, ooc!Wednesday(?), indirect implication of siren!reader
It wasn’t unusual for you to recieve newly found popularity, especially after what happened before summer break. You told yourself after those times that you’ll never, and i mean, never, get associated in any types of cases once again. But then again, being with Wednesday doesn’t always guarantee you a free ticket out of these stuff.
You figured that, at the very least, you'd get a free pass this year right? You and Enid were so sure that this year would be―the year, for both of you, and you were for sure not gonna let that get away!
Then so, as you walked through the courtyard of Nevermore, side by side with Enid, talking about each other’s summer break quietly, all until a certain gingered haired girl seemed to have popped out of nowhere. You jumped slightly at the surprise, chuckling nervously, glancing to look at Enid who seemed more annoyed than surprised.
“Ugh! Can you stop sneaking up on me and my friends? I thought you were Wednesday’s fangirl, not mine!” Enid yelled at the girl infront of you. Clearly, this isn't the first time that this girl had done this. Nonetheless, the girl ignored Enid’s ranting as she stared at you with her large, doll like eyes.
As Enid continues on with her quick rant, Agnes speaks to you as she smiles, almost in awe to see you, “You're (Y/n). Wednesday’s girlfriend, right?” her voice was quiet, but uttered loud enough for Enid to stop her talking and hold onto you like you were gonna disappear.
“Oh no no no! Don’t you dare, Agnes! You might've gotten Wednesday with your stalking thing, but i will not let (Y/n) fall victim onto your hands!” Enid says in an hurried and irritated tone, trying to drag you away as your try and stop her for a moment to collect your thoughts. “Wednesday has a fangirl? A stalker i understand, but fangirl?” The thought made you laugh as you calm Enid down.
“Yes, I am infact (Y/n). (Y/n) soon to be Addams. What stunt have i pulled now that may have piqued your interest, Ms. Agnes?” You spoke with a matter-of-factly tone, smiling softly towards her, while playing the formal one, with additional jokes you made up.
Enid felt the need to roll her eyes, letting go of your hand as she stood besides you and shot glares towards Agnes, who could only smile towards you and Enid, especially with eyes filled with curiosity towards you.
Little did you know, Enid was not the only one shooting glares towards Agnes, as Wednesday watched across the courtyard. Far enough that you wouldn't recognize her through the few students that roamed around, yet―close enough for her to stare at the three girls. Her expression remained neutral, however, the irritation was radiating off her as she noticed the way that Agnes continued to get up close to you, “As if she even has the right to be breathing the same air as, my (Y/n).”
“You're so much more gorgeous in person then they say, (Y/n), and your hair and eyes share the same golden glow, do they?” Agnes speaks, your name coming out of her mouth so casually, having only known you from rumouts. With the way she spoke, she seemingly knew a lot about you, even going as far as trying to reach her hand out to try and caress your hair, before a familiar hand stops her in her tracks.
Enid is immediately alarmed from when Agnes tried to lay her hand on you, not noticing the new figure that seemed to have joined their conversation. Agnes’ hand is held up by that same person, clearly none other than, Wednesday Addams. The notorious saviour of Nevermore, staring down at her as if she’d just commited a crime worth her life.
“If you’d like to keep your hand―or your life, Demille. I’d rather you not lay a hand on my amour.” The girl’s monotone voiced filled the courtyard, clearly laced with something. It wasn’t envy, no. It was something more. Agnes could only wince at the pain that Wednesday’s grip caused her.
Enid stared at both shock and awe while you stood there flustered, quickly trying to defuse the situation the best you could, “Okay okay.. calm down, my dearest.” your honey laced voice quickly travelled to Wednesday’s ears, letting go of her grip on Agnes’ wrist slowly. “Apologies, mi amour. None to you, Demille. Your pressence here is no longer needed, it’d be much appreciated if you take your leave.” Wednesday’s voice softened a slight bit towards you, yet kept their hostility towards the ginger haired girl as she took her leave.
Enid stood there, rolling her eyes before turning towards you and Wednesday, “Was that kind of entrance really necessary?” her voice, mocking the girl as she stared at you both.
“Well.. that’s Wednesday for you..” You mumbled udner your breath, barely above a whisper as you sighed before finally turning your gaze over to Wednesday, your features glowing in her eyes as your gaze softens up. “My dearest, was scaring her really necessary? She even seems to idolize you.”
Wednesday is silent for a moment, keeping her lips aligned as she stared at you, her piercing gaze, softening up―ever so slightly. She took a few moments, that even got Enid waiting as she did her best to keep a distance. “I wouldn’t have to have done that to her if she had only kept her hands off you.” Wednesday finally speaks, after a few moments has passed. Her voice kept in a monotone level, yet, it was laced with something other than that. Her voice had an underlying tone on them as she spoke, it was unusual. It was barely noticable to the normal ears, yet to You, it was something new. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, it seemed like a mixture of different emotions.
“Additionally, her being a fangirl means nothing to me. To ask that is basically comparing a worthless stranger to the only woman that i willingly chose to spend with my remaining nightmarish days with. It’s not fair play, is it―Cara Mia?” Wednesday continues on with her words, seemingly so sure of herself as she stood there firmly, clearly not mistaken with her words, leaving Enid speechless with her jaw basically on the ground.
“Very sweet, mi amour, however―you still could’ve been nicer. The girl seemed to be a younger student.” You then responded, a smile forming on your lips as your cheeks flush a deep shade of red, a sight Wednesday was all so familiar with, her lips curving up slightly. It wasn’t noticable to others―no, but to you, it held a deep meaning.
“Did―did Wednesday actually say something sweet for once in her life?” Enid suddenly speaks, stammering slightly as she starts smiling, her smile reaching ear to ear as she’s giggling and staring at you both in shock. “Is this considered blackmail?!” Enid then adds to her words as she's basically screaming at the court yard, making a few eyes glance at her discreetly.
“Try to release this information to anyone else, and i’ll have you decapitated before you can even speak.” Wednesday threatens, with her casual voice as her gaze had shifted over to Enid. With eyes cold to the touch, Enid couldn’t help but shiver before she spoke once again, letting out a nervous giggle as she held onto your arm, “Okay.. definitely never suggesting that again.”
“My dear.. be nice.” You spoke out to Wednesday, smiling softly as you patted Enid’s arm that clung onto you, giggling slightly as you looked into Wednesday’s piercing gaze, only softening as she meets your soft eyes, speaking quietly, “That’s one of the most tamest ideas i have, you know that, mi tesoro.”
author’s note: first post ! i wanted to hear out people’s opinions about my writing / the way i wrote. also informing you guys that my requests are open, feel free to send me any characters or ideas you have, i’m multi - fandom anyways <3
req: this anon + only, leehi | you start trying to distance yourself from ajax, seeing as how enid seemingly wants him back. however, ajax doesn’t seem to aplrove of this.
warnings: grammatical errors, amateur writing, not proofread, no hate to enid―i love her, lowk mean!enid for the sake of the plot, i started writing this at 2 am guys, and it took me 2 days to complete so ignore the spelling mistakes pls, light angst if you squint
You’ve only met Ajax since the start of the new school year. Seeing as you were the barista who served him every day at the Weathervane, ever since the very first week started. Although, despite the newly profound friendship you both have constructed, you were both already comfortable and close with each other.
Hearing about his summer break, with his relationship with Enid starting off strong just as the school year ended, until it slowly withered away―leaving him with only the remaining petals of hope he had left to save their relationship. You couldn’t lie―it slowly broke your heart too. It’s never fun to ever be ghosted by someone who you deemed so special and important to you, however, you understood that―not every good thing could last.
It was an old saying that you continued to apply to your daily life whenever an unfortunate mishap starts strutting towards your way, well―or worse, a storm coming onto your life to destroy all things good. You couldn’t deny the fact that they were devestatong, although―you chose to heal from them, instead of planting a seed of anger inside you―only to be expressed abruptly whenever you’ve reached your limit.
Knowing that you’re new friend really needed the comfort at the moment, you’ve decided to help him through the tough situation he was in.
Often times, you’d both sspend moments at the weathervane―whenever you weren’t working of course. To talk to each other, maybe crack a joke or two, and sometimes every study whenever it was needed. You’d enjoyed these moments more than anything you’ve really experienced before. It wasn’t just a simple hang out to you. To you, it was comfort. It was the calm you had during the chaos. And slowly, as each moment you both had was spent with each other, you never realized.
You were falling―slowly. Into the grasps of a boy you swore you’d never fall for. The one person you’d promise yourself that you wouldn’t fall in love with. Not because you didn’t want to―but because you couldn’t.
You’ve always known about the outcasts, Nevermore Academy, the strange and unsettling aura that the school had, and that the students brought along with them. You’d even assisted a few students from Nevermore, knowing that the Weathervane was a simple calming café where students knew they could come to, maybe to hang out, study, or just relax as they sip a cup of coffee.
You knew that Ajax was an outcast, and you never mind, nor chose to bring it up as a normal topic between you both. However―you knew you couldn’t fall for him for this exact reason. You were a ‘normie’. You knew that, it wasn’t forbidden, although―it wasn’t ideal. You’ve heard this with people, about how―‘Normie’s wouldn’t be able to understand outcasts, therefore, they aren’t a good match at all.’ and, for all this time, you chose to believe it.
However, it didn’t make your heart stop it’s hasty pacing whenever you felt Ajax’s eyes linger on you for far too long. Nor did it help with the way you cared so much about Ajax, always being the first one there whenever he’s in need. Always available, always there.
Although, you refused to have your friendship broken over a so called, ‘infatuation’ on your side. You’d never, right? You were almost sure that your mind had been playing mind tricks on you, yet―why was it that you couldn’t stop thinking about him as you stare up at your ceiling?
my favourite gorgon 💌
my favourite gorgon 💌 sent you a message
― “u up? :)” | 2:34 am.
― “let’s go to the lake, haven’t seen u in a long time :(” | 2:34 am.
Seeing your phone light up with those simple messages from your favourite person, made you happier more than anything. You didn’t hesitate with your response as you were already getting your slippers and sneakily walking over to your pantry, doing your best to stay quiet as you decided to sneak out of your bedroom window, rather than going through the front door.
You knew the lake was nearby Nevermore, however, it wasn’t really inside the campus grounds, and therefore―you were allowed to go there!
It had been a sacred and secret space for both you and Ajax, having found it during one of your little adventures around town. It was so very secretive, per se, although―it was tucked away inside a few trees that slowly formed a forest around the lake. Both you and Ajax enjiyed hanging out there, where most of the quiet sessions were, where you’d just let Ajax lay his head on you lap as you were sat against a trunk of a tree. Where you’d both rest after a tiring day, with only the soft rustling sounds of the leaves on the ground below you both. It didn’t just feel safe―it was comfort, liberty, and everything you’ve ever wanted.
Slowly, you entered through one of the bigger gapsninbeteen trees, holding a small metal jar in your hands, with the only sounds being heard as of now were the soft rustling sounds of the leaves that you stepped on with each step―a familiar soudn that you’d never get tired of hearing. And the way your breath hitched with each step, having been afraid of the dark, yet nonetheless, you knew you were safe, finally seeing a small light erupted in the middle of the darkness.
You immediately walked towards it, keeping your steps gentle, clearly avoiding making any startling sounds, as your gaze falls upon a sight of Ajax, holding a lantern with a newly placed candle inside while his lips formed a smile after finally seeing you.
You smiled back, immediately hearing quick footsteps coming towards you as you were pulled into a quuck a warm embrace by Ajax, quickly flushing a crimson red hue across your cheeks as you hug him back, not wanting to let go.
“I missed you a lot, you don’t even know.” You heard Ajax mumble against your hair as he took a deep breath and embaraced you harder for a moment, before finally letting you go and then blushing slightly, before looking away.
You felt embarrassed, looking away as well before you finally spoke up in a soothing, queit voice. The one you knew comforted Ajax whenever he felt down, or under the weather. “I brought your favourite.” You say, smiling softly towards Ajax as you sat down against a familair rock down in the forest. One you’ve sat in countless of times, over in the span of what? Maybe almost a month.
“Ugh, you know me so well.” Ajax says, chuckling slightly before rolling his eyes and sitting right next to you as he takes the jar from your hands to open it. His joy was evident through his face and smile―shining more brightly than the sun itself, in your words. You were overly smitten, yet there was definitely no way that you’d admit that. Not even to yourself.
As you both take turns with holding the jar, beyond just the trees of your little spot by the lake, a certain werewolf seemed to have been walking through the forest for some fresh air, only to see the sight of you and Ajax.
You felt much more better after the night you had with Ajax, even without the proper sleep and rest you needed, you’d walked into another one of your shift at the Weathervane―with Ajax being the only thing you looked forward to during the whole day.
You’d figured that Ajax would run along the Weathervane to see you during their lunch time or vaccant, which―were pretty long compared to your own school, however―that’s just the normie life, you figured once more.
When the time finally arrived for, what you knew was usually Nevermore’s time for lunch, you prepared to take a break to hang out with Ajax for a few minutes, hoping to be able and get a few conversations in with him before going back to your shift.
However―you were not able to prepare for the sight you saw next. Ajax almost stormed in the Weathervane irritated. And soon enough, you figured what was that about as you saw Enid walking behind him all smiley and calling out for him. She surely was more energetic than how Ajax described her before―but that was not the main focus right now as you see Ajax looking a little bit relieved as he saw you behind the desk.
Ajax just pushes Enid away gently as he walked over towards the desk where you were standing―awaiting for anything at this point as you look towards him, and the Enid who was just standing in line behind him.
“It’s a ‘she wants me back thing’―which i don’t even wanna get back with her, and i’m clearly showing her that, yet she really won’t take the hint.” Ajax says, at a quickly paced speed, although he spoke clearly and quietly enough for only you to hear―you were still clearly dumbfounded. He pretends to place his favourite order in, as to not attract attentions towards you both anymore, although you hear him mumble as he was about to sit down at one of the window seats at the café, “Please take a break and come sit with me, asap!”
You nodded your head before he left, and saw Enid quuckly, smiling towards you and was about to place an order herself before you quickly tell her to wait for a moment as you get another person on desk duty, telling them that you were about to take your break as you took your apron off and smoothed out the clothes you were wearing under them.
Without wasting a single moment, you walked out of the staff room and over to Ajax’s booth table. Sitting across him as you immediately bombarded him with questions as to why Enid was here, and as to why she was trying to get back with him after what she did. Unbeknownst to you, the girl had already approached your table as she sat beside the clearly irritated Ajax, seemingly growing more furious by the second―yet he was able to keep his cool.
“So what, are you like, Ajax’s ‘normie’ friend?” Enid speaks, a condenscending undertone as she kept her gaze on you, her smile slowly turning into a smirk as she recognized you as the girl that was with Ajax in the forest. Although―you never knew she saw you, nor were you aware of that information right now as you chuckled nervously, clearlh thinking she was just joking as you finally responded after a few minutes―“I guess so?”
“Enid―can you leave me alone?” Ajax speaks up, his temper finslly getting the best of him as he stare blankly towards Enid. He wouldn’t let Enid’s condenscending question go, seeing as it was clearly aimed to show you disrespect, he found himself more aggravated.
Speaking once again, his tone becoming a tad bit more aggressive than before, “I don’t like you anymore. Leave me alone.” clearly being firm on his words as he almost glares at Enid who sat beside him, turning her head away in embarrassment as she took a few moments before finally standing up and leaving.
You were shocked, to say the least. Staring at the scene unfold infrotn of you as you could only put your head down, clealry feeling guilty. You weren’t in hopes that you’d be the reason that Ajax gets mad at Enid, however―you appreciated the effort he put, knowing that he’d done it to shield you from the negativtiy that Enid chose to spread around so suddenly. You were unaware as to why Enid would ever do that, knowing that from Ajax’s old stories from before―she seemed as sweet as candy. But, it seems like you thought wrong.
“I think that i’ll go back to my shift.. i’ll try to catch you later Ajax.” Your words quuckly travelled towards Ajax’s ears, making him perk up and nod, fearing that he’d done something wrong, or that, he scared you off during the whole time that he’d told off Enid, he decided to just give you space to breath freely and think.
As quickly as you said that, you’d already went back to the staff room where you decided to take a moment and breath as you gathered your thoughts together, afraid of being the one to ruin any chances of the both of them to ever become at least friends. It made you overthink every outcome that this decision of yours could have, to the point that you started feeling unwell. While Ajax on the other side just sat quietly in his seat as he worried about what may have caused you to act so abruptly―although he knew that he played a part on it.
You couldn’t deny it―you’d been avoiding Ajax for a whole week now. Quickly resigning from your position as his best friend, safe space, comfort zone or whatever else he loved to call you. You couldn’t deal with it anymore, and you were afraid that you’d been the actual reason for the now wedge between Enid and Ajax.
Although Enid continued to pursue Ajax, he found himself looking for you amidst every crowd that he coems in contact with. It didn’t take long for him to realize that you’ve been avoiding you. Although, you didn’t text or chose to interact with him as often as you would before. To the point where Ajax was finally fed up, and finally decided to do something about his fleeting friend.
He knew where he’d find you―your spot. He wasn’t gonan give up, even if the universe didn’t even seem to be on his side, he’d still yearn for your pressence. The calm, the chaos, the perfect, the flawed. You were everything that Ajax never knew he needed in his life. You were his everything―and he was gonna tell you that.
As you sat against the same boulder you had been sitting on for a little over a month now, you found yourself staring out at the lake that you’d always admired, ever since you found it. Unbeknownst to you, was the quiet footsteps behind you of Ajax, whom you hadn’t realize was there until you stood up and turned around―startled, yet, almost relieved as your gaze falls upon the boy infront of you.
“I know you’re avoiding me, (Y/n).” Ajax starts his words off quietly, yet still audible to you. “And i don’t like it.” Ajax finally continues his words after a few moments―taking a deep breath as he keeps his eyes on you. He maintained the eye contact between you two, getting ready to speak again, “Why make me go through this, (Y/n)?”
You stood still, almost frozen in your spot as you asked yourself the same thing. Because―you knew that you weren’t making him go through this just for fun. It was an internal fear you had within yourself, and you knew it. Yet―why wouldn’t you do anything about it?
Though, as if your mouth had a mind of it’s own, you finally uttered a response to his question, “Because I love you.”
“I love you―yet i fear that i’m not the one you want.” You wanted to say―you wanted to continue speaking, but your words ended on that. Three words, so easy to let go of, to say. But to you―it held everything that you’ve ever felt for a single boy who brought out the real you. For the boy who taught you to live for freedom, and taught you how to finally love yourself, the way―you loved him.
Ajax could only stare at you at that moment, while you looked away. You were ashamed of what you had just done, and you felt as if tears were about to escape from your eyes before you were suddenly pulled into a warm embrace, with Ajax gripping you hard, as if you were about to disappear any moment now.
The silence was comforting, even for just a moment as the only things that you could hear was the quite sniffle that you made very few seconds, and the quiet breathing of Ajax. He took this moment as an opportunity to finally say waht he’d always felt towards you.
“I love you.” His words, barely audible, yet you heard every word he spoke―and you knew he meant it. With his grip slowly softening, not trying to let you go, however, once he felt your tears slowly drop from your eyes, he let you go for a moment, carrying his hands towards your cheek, cupping your face for moment as he leaned in and wiped your tears away.
“It’s you. You’re the one i choose―you’re the one i love.” Ajax then continues to speak, as he kept his head closer towards you, wiping the tears off your cheeks before he kissed your forehead and pulled you into another tight hug, clearly not wanting to let go every more now as you let yourself take in the soft embrace.
“It was always gonna be you.” Were Ajax’s words, and the only thing you could focus on as your blurry vission finally got a dight of Ajax when he pulled away from your arms, only to lean in and kiss you, soft―and longing. As if he’d always been waiting for this moment.
You could only reciprocate the feeling, returning a gentle kiss back as all your tears were suddenly wept away, and all you could focus on was Ajax. The boy that chose you. The boy that loved you.
author’s note: i think i totally butchered the idea, due to the fact that, my understanding of the idea was like, ajax and reader start off as friends and then like, enid gets jealous of them evenr if they were just friends during that time, and then the confession would be when, ajax finally corners reader and they get like, an angsty confession and all, SO I MIGHT ACTUALLY BE TOTALLY WRONG
req: this anon, this anon + Glue Song, Beabadoobee | Pugsley’s parents find out how smitten he is over you, before he even knows himself..
warnings: grammatical errors, super rusty and try-hard writing, not proofread, pugsley is very much like his dad
Ever since the start of your new school year at Nevermore, you found yourself being closer with a certain boy―Pugsley Addams.
You had known that he was part of the Addams family, in which, you’ve been warned to avoid by your friends. You understood the natural fear your friends clearly had for the Addams family, although―you were quick to shut down any form of negativity that were spreading towards their way. Especially Pugsley.
You two were quite literally inseperable ever since you’ve both met. Walking together towards your classes, lunches together at the court yard alongside the infamous Eugene, and even being able to be acquianted with his sister, the ome and only―Wednesday Addams, who shockingly deemed your intelligent mind useful and tolerable.
Although, it wasn’t far until you both had started to have certain feelings towards each other. It was truly inevitable, with the way his gaze could only admire the features on your face whemever you spoke so fondly of something you took quite an interest in. Although, those were only gazes, right?
With the way that you’d always been there, always helping him out whenever there was something he needed, or whenever he just felt like having an adventure for the day, you were always available. You were never the one to decline the boy. Although, those were things that friends did for eachother, right?
It was almost getting to the point where, even Eugene felt as if he was a third wheel whenever all three of you would hang out. Truly, he was utterly amazed with how oblivious you both were towards eachother, when everything was so clearly laid out for the both of you! However, he never said anything out loud.
Although, a thing you hadn’t realized, was two Addams observing both you and Pugsley, everytime you made your way towards your favourite hang out spots, or even when you both were on your way to your usual spot in the court yard. Their gazes linger for moments, before going on about their own day.
It was only but a normal in your routine as you made your way towards the court yard. Pugsley was supposedly on his way to help Eugene with his bee’s, so you figured that you’d do a little reading at one of the benches.
You held nothing both your phone and a book in your arms as you continued your walk towards one of the benches, although, you hadn’t realized that a certain figure had been watching you for a moment before finally calling out your name.
The familiar voice called out from the gate’s of Nevermore. You weren’t expecting anyone at that time, which confused you, although you still looked up, seeing a truly familiar person walking towards you with a smile on their face.
“Mr. Addams! My apologies, it seems like I was unable to see you earlier.” You quickly waved and apologized as a smile formed on your lips as well, it was clear that the Addams’ smile was contagious as you found yourself facing them now.
“Oh (Y/n)! It’s alright, I just recognized you as the girl my son is always with.” Gomez immediately spoke with a small chuckle as he patted your shoulders, making you feel a little more comfortable as you nodded and kept a polite smile.
After hearing his words, your face flushed for a moment, quickly hearing how romantic it sounded when spoken with certain words, however, you had immediately removed that thought from your mind as you chuckled and finally responded to his words with a small joke, “Oh you know Pugsley, Mr. Addams! Always gets in trouble, gotta keep an eye on him, am I right?”
Gomez only continued to chuckle and nod his head before he spoke once again, “You children just don’t leave any evidence when you cause troubles, okay?” while placing a hand on your shoulder. Although confused, you nod your head and keep your smile before responding “Of course Mr. Addams, I promise to take full care of Pugsley!”
There was a brief moment of silence between both you and Gomez, as you both seemed to have an unspoken agreement. Although, the silence didn’t last long as Gomez finally spoke, and took his hand back, “You’re a good kid, (Y/n). Keep safe out here!”
You nodded your head and quickly thanked him before he left, as you felt your chest pounding for a moment as you finally plop down on the bench, taking a long breath for a moment as you watched Gomez take his leave.
It was an unusual scene for you, although, you figured that it was just a quick interaction between you both. And you were sure to tell Pugsley about this!
On the other hand.. while Pugsley and Eugene were helping each other out with the bugs and insects that Eugene were taking care of in their dorm, there was a sudden knock om the door.
Pugsley had taken it upon himself to open the door, taking a guess that you were on the other side of the door as he’d told you before that you were free to join him and Eugene after you read your book. Although, the visitor on the other side of the door was not the person he expected.
It was his dad, Gomez Addams, standing at the door of his dorm, clearly startling both him and Eugene, who had been watching from their spot as he had his gloves covered with dirt and a few leaves. Neither of you three spoke a word, until Gomez spoke up with his usual contagious chuckle, “My boy! What are you guys doing?”
“Just cleaning out Eugene’s tanks dad.. what do you want?” Pugsley’s once lively tone soured slightly as he sighed and widened the door open, clearly inviting his dad inside as Euegen continued to stay silent.
“Oh well, I met that uh―(Y/n) girl! She’s really polite and caring, where’d you find that one son?” Gomez quickly spoke up, finally leeting himself inside the room as he found a third chair to sit on infront of seats where Eugene and Pugsley were sat.
Pugsley hadn’t realized, but a crimson red hue quickly spread throughout his cheeks as he seemed a little bit more interested in the words his dad just spoke. “Really? What’d she say? Did she talk about me?” Pugsley asked, not even letting Gomez have a chance to answer every question as his eagerness had clearly consumed him for a moment.
Eugene could only chuckle under his breath as Pugsley quickly nudged him to stop, while his dad had just sat there for a moment, as if recalling the exact words that you’d spoken, before inciting them to the now flustered Pugsley.
Eugene truly couldn’t help himself as he continued to snicker under his breath, often making eye contact with Pugsley who continued to nudge him as a sign to shut up, as he continued to his dad talk about the girl he’d practically been head-over-heel’s over.
“Mijo, do you like this girl?” His dad asked him, with the visible change in his tone as he sat up more straightly, slightly more serious than before as Eugene finally spoke up after his silence, “Mr. Addams, he’s basically convinced that their soulmates―”
Although his words were cut short by Pugsley immediately covering Eugene’s mouth, his words being replaced with a nervous chuckle escaping Pugsley while he stammered to construct a proper response.
“Pfft―you know! She’s really kind, and pretty.. but we’re just friends!” His continued with his words, still tense as he spoke in quite the hyper tone, before he finally let go quickly of Eugene who could only roll his eyes and smile lightly, while he continued on what he was doing.
His dad, clearly contemplating for a moment, took a deep breath before finally speaking in a more serious tone, “Well, if what Eugene said is true then, Pugsley―tell her how you feel.” as his gaze was kept on Pugsley. All while Pugsley had to stare idly at his dad for a moment, taking the information in for now as he nodded lightly.
“She seems like a decent girl, and frankly, she’d be the best at keeping you alive, probably.” His dad added, while he spoke in a matter-of-fact kind of tone, although keeping the seriousness in his voice.
Pugsley could only continue to nod as he continued to take his father’s words in, both surprised and mervous as he’d immediately let his thoughts take over his words, “What if she doesn’t like me, though?” there was a short pause as he had planted his arms on top of the table, continuing on with his words once again, “What if she only sees us as friends?”
“Pugsley, there’s only once way to know. You have to be truthful to her, okay mijo?” His dad reassured him as he patted Pugsley’s shoulders and stood up, clearly thinking for a moment before finally remembering and speaking once more, “Your girl is at the court yard, go! Go to her mijo!”
Pugsley could only stand after a brief minute, thinking about the decision he was going to make before Eugene spoke up beside him with a snicker, keeping a quiet yet still audible tone, “Dude, go before someone else gets to her first―and good luck!”
Pugsley excused himself and thanked his dad and Eugene for their words before he simply rushed out of the dormitories, clearly rushing to get to the court yard as he passed by and apologized to some of the students he accidentally bumped into while walling in the hallways.
He was practically out of breath when he reached the court yard where he found you sat down on one of the benches, reading an all too familiar book that you’ve been continuing to rave about all week. At that moment, he couldn’t help but smile as he watched the way you smiled whenever you flipped over a page to continue your reading.
He’d never truly realized it himself until it came to that moment, where he’d watch you do all the little things you did. Where he basically had all your habits memorize, along with every inch of your features. He loved everything about you. He loved you.
You were momentarily unaware of the boy that had been approaching you, until you heard a familiar voice call out to you from your side. You were confused, not expecting anymore visitors since earlier, and especially not Pugsley.
It was as if you’d been frozen as you turn to look at the boy beside you who had been smiling and waving towards you as you decided to scoot over to leave space at the bench for him. Still feeling slightly shy, you’d kept your head down and turned, only ever looking at him to greet him.
“(Y/n), I need to tell you something.” He spoke in a rather, urgent and serious tone as his nervousness was clear, along with the thick tension between you both as your cheeks could not help but continue it’s growing red hue. It was only a simple, “What is it?” that you could muster up as you kept your head turned away, only your timid persona being shown as your embarrassment would get the best of yoy.
Pugsley sighed, although the smile was evident on his tone as he took his hand to meet your chin, holding it between his thumb and index finger, turning your head to face him as he spoke, “Would you look at me? Please, (Y/n)?” in his honey laced tone that not even you could deny.
So you finally faced him, now with the same serious face that he had, btoh afraid of anything wrong that might have happened between you both, yet with the hope of a confession of his reciprocation. Although, you had kept your hopes low, to avoid another dissapointment.
“(Y/n), I like you.” Pugsley said, with utter seriousness, as his eyes glimmered with clear hope, all while he’d only kept his eyes on you.
The tension was clear between you both, as an overbearing silence filled the area that you both had been in. Truly, the surprise that was shown on your face could not be describe as you immediately embraced Pugsley with a gentle hug.
“Atleast one of us had enough courage to confess.” You uttered under your breath as you felt Pugsley embrace you back, chuckling softly as he heard your quiet words. He could not believe it himself, but he didn’t wanna leavr this moment either as you both kept the hug long, clearly never wanting this to end.
“I love you. I truly do.” You heard Pugsley’s voice utter in your ear, only filled with reassurement, and the type of comfort that had always been for you―and only you. And clearly, it was at that moment that you were now sure of everything as you now had the courage to return his words, “I love you too, Pugsley.” with the same sense of comfort and reassurement.

You ought to learn how to stop eavesdropping as you walk pass the halls of Nevermore, with your popularity around school however? People have already been talking about you long before you even make your presence known.
Being one of the only people Wednesday tolerated due to shared traits, often being way too honest for most people, and having similar interests. Your friendship was bound to bloom some day.
However, another relationship bloomed on the way there, with your friend’s brother―Pugsley.
Although Wednesday never really understood how you’d ever choose her brother over any other half-decent males in your school, she let the relationship continue. She saw how your eyes would quite literally turn into hearts when Pugsley would talk to you―she puked right afterwards. Though, she trusted you enough to know that your intentions with her brother were pure. And along with that, she’d have one less person to take care of.
That’s how you really got into this situation. Walking towards Pugsley’s dorm, giving a slight smile to those who waved towards you in the halls and spoke about you. You smiled out of politeness―all you wanted to do however, were finally lay down with Pugsley and rest after a long day.
You surely didn’t miss the people who spoke about you―or Pugsley. It was basically a package deal whenever someone spoke about you, or even talk to you. You knew there were people who spoke so terribly of him, and you couldn’t help but always shut off those who spoke so horribly of him, knowing how he was.
You would’ve expected that people had stopped speaking so horribly of him behind his back, but never had it crossed your minds that they could be speaking so negatively about him to his face, and as you were about to surprise Pugsley in his dorm, you suddenly heard people chuckling behind the doors.
“You really expect that (Y/n) actually likes you?” You heard a boy’s voice echo through the room―loud enough to be heard by anyone who were just behind the doors. ‘What were they even talking about?’ You had asked yourself as you bit your tongue to prevent barging in there right that moment.
“She probably only dated you due to the fact that you’re Wednesday’s brother. You’re the dumb and weird brother! I hope you know, (Y/n) isn’t into half-witted weirdos!” Another voice yelled out from the side as they continued chuckling, unbeknownst to them―you were just at the other side of the door.
At this point, you’ve had enough. You immediately opened the door and stood straight. Your piercing gaze shot right through the three boys who’d been chuckling and making fun of Pugsley who seemed to have held something behind his back. Although it was clear that he was trying to ignore them, his eyes spoke differently as he seemed relieve to see you.
“What were you guys talking about?” You speak once again, irritation dripping from your words as you started walking towards Pugsley, letting yourself walk inbetween the three boys as they were turning red in embarrassment.
One of the boys uttered out a quiet, “Nothing.” as he stumbled through what he could say. All of them stepping back slightly as to get away from both you and Pugsley.
“Really? Could’ve sworn I hear someone call Pugsley a, ‘Half-witted weirdo’ am I right?” You speak in a more condescending tone, as your irritation continued to lace your words, giving them a fake smile while you stood still beside Pugsley.
“And you see, I don’t really like that. So if you wanna take your leave now, before I tell Wednesday―and the whole school about what you guys were doing, that’d be appreciated.” You took a small step forward, keeping a quiet voice as you took your time to look at all three of them, before speaking in a more harsh tone once again as you hissed quietly, showing your fangs―“Now scram, losers.”
You watched as all three of them basically ran out the dorm, leaving both you and Pugsley who looked so head-over-heels for you as you guys finally make eye contact.
“So.. are you gonna say something?” You decided to speak first, giggling slightly at your own words as you walked towards Pugsley’s bed and immediately plopped down. Clearly tired, although you continued to keep a genuine smile towards Pugsley.
He shook his head and finally spoke as you watched his cheeks slowly turn crimson red, with a voice clearly smitten with endearment, his voice travelled to your ears, “Oh- of course! Thank you, mi amour. Everyday, you truly make me fall in love with you even more.”
“And would you look at that―I even got you a gift.” Pugsley adds to his words, as he walks towards where you were now sat up on his bed. His cheeks continued to stay a soft hue of red, while he sat besides you a pulled out a box from behind him.
You chuckled slightly, getting flustered as well as you uttered quietly, “You didn’t have to, you know?” keeping your gaze on Pugsley who sat infront of you, with his smile that continued to brighten up your day, no matter the circumstance.
“I didn’t have to, yeah―but I wanted to.” He replied to your words as he opened the box and pulled out a necklace, the silver chain extended and at the bottom could be seen as small vial of what seemed to be blood.
Before you could even say anything, Pugsley spoke before you, saying, “It’s my blood, so you know―you’ll always have a part of me whenever i’m away.” gosh, you truly loved this boy as you immediately hugged him afterwards. You didn’t let go―no. You kept him in your embrace as you finally uttered a small, “I love you.” under your breath.
Pugsley couldn’t help but smile after hearing those words. He hugged you back, of course, and didn’t let you go until you finally chose to take a moment and finally leave the soft embrace. “I don’t deserve you, you know?” You told him, smiling softly as you kept your gaze on him.
“Shut up.” Pugsley said, chuckoing as he rolled his eyes before telling you turn around as he fixed the necklace, gently placing it on top of your collarbones where the chain fit around your neck perfectly. You couldn’t help but smile as Puglsey finished up putting the necklace on you.
“I’m genuinely gonna marry you!” You said, giggles escaping you, as you immediately embraced Pugsley once again with no warning after he finished helping you wear the necklace.

You had entered Nevermore academy around the same time as Pugsley, your brother. Although he had been bunked somewhere else around the dormitories, you both stuck next to each other during school hours, seeing as you both were unaware of where your other sibling had been running off to.
Your parents were just around the school’s corners, you’re aware, however―it wasn’t one of your natures to ask for help. You knew you’d be able to figure this out yourself.
Until your brother’s supposedly “roommate” decides to introduce himself in the middle of the conversation you were having with your brother. “Hey there! I’m Eugene. Is she your sister, Pugsley?” Smiling as he pointed out to you, curiously. His overall cherry persona was nauseating, but you’d best keep your mouth shut.
“Uh yeah! Her name is (Y/n). She’s kinda like Wednesday, but smaller.” Pugsley says, smiling back at Eugene as they look at each other. You held your books to your chest before speaking in a monotone voice, “And i assume that you’re that one acquiantance of Wednesday, during her first year at Nevermore?” both curious, yet―not surprised.
“Uh, yeah? I guess?” Eugene says, clearly a little confused, yet he smiled towards you nonetheless. You’ve always been taught to dislike most cheery things by Wednesday, often becoming enveloped with more negativity. Or, as Wednesday said, “honesty”. Yet, you couldn’t denynthe fact that Eugene’s smile did soften your heart for a moment.
You stared at Eugene for a moment, seemingly trying to figure him out as if he were a puzzle, before you hear a familiar tone coming from your sides. “There you both are. Seems like you’ve met Eugene. That’s one less introduction i have to do for the both of you.” It was Wednesday, walking side by side with Enid as she waves her hands in greetings.
“What’s up Wed-” Pugsley’s words were cut short as Wednesday speaks sharply, “I’d like to skip the formalities. Pugsley, (Y/n), this is Enid. I expect you guys give nothing less of kindness towards her.” as she stared at you and Pugsley. Without hesitation, you nodded and gave her a small smile.
“As you may assume, these are my siblings, Pugsley. He’s more.. academically challenged than most people. However, i will assure you that his loyalties will make up for it.” Wednesday introduces Pugsley to Enid, as she kept a stern look on her face.
“And this is, (Y/n). She follows after me. I’ve taught her since she was nothing but a small child, and until now―she might as well be my little accomplice.” Wednesday then adds, finally introducing you to the group, seemingly having more of a soft spot for you. “Don’t, try to make any moves on her. I will know, and i’ll have your head on a stick before you even approach her. This is my one and only warning.” Wednesday then adds, her voice slightly raising, while her eyes sent daggers towards Eugene’s flustered face, quickly looking down after out of embarrassment as he mumbles a quiet, “Understood.”
“Good. You’ll get to know Eugene more, i’m more then sure. Seeing as you and Pugsley are already close, it’s not long until you’ll get to know (Y/n) too.” Wednesday says, almost sighing when speaking, however, she keeps a straight face anc clears her throat before lastly introducing Enid, “As you guys may know, this is my roommate, Enid. Enid Sinclair. I’m sure you both will be able to spot her quickly enough in a crowd with the intense colour pallette she has.” her voice, clearly grimacing as she spoke, however, Enid just huffs and rolls her eyes before she smiled towards you guys cheerily.
“If you guys don’t have any other questions, i’ll leave you three to settle. Enid and I will be off to do our own activities. I’d suggest trying not to get lost.” Wednesday ends with her usual tone, stepping back to finally walk away with Enid following behind her. You could only take a deep breath before walking away to get some fresh air.
As you walked through the halls, you hadn’t realize that Pugsley and Eugene were walking behind you, however―you could hear quiet whispers and mumbles between the two boys as they were slowly getting more louder.
“Your sister is so pretty.” You heard Eugene’s comment, and while it was a quiet whisper, your ears couldn’t help but perk up at the comment. Your cheeks slowly flushing red as you were both embarrassed and flattered. Knowing that you haven’t recieved such a comment before, due to your sister that has taught you much better―you couldn’t help but be flustered by the thought. Someone, thinking that you were pretty? Now that’s unusual.
“Don’t say that out loud! Wednesday might hear you..” You could hear Pugsley’s voice shushing down Eugene, clearly nervous as he looked around, his eyes scanning people who walked by, thinking they might’ve been Wednesday.
“I’m not deaf. I assume you both know that I can hear your comments towards me, right?” You then finally speak, stopping in your tracks as you stare at them both. More at Eugene, who seemed to be blushing, yet he stood his ground as he spoke more louder, as he was clearly teasing you, “I wanna you say that you’re pretty, what’s so wrong about that?”
“You’re both insufferable.” You couldn’t even think of what to say as you rolled your eyes and turned around, clearly annoyed, yet the small blush on your cheeks said otherwise as Eugene just smiles then waves a goodbye at you before running off with a now annoyed Pugsley as you heard him say, “Stop hitting on my sister.”

You’ve only had one interaction with Eugene. Was it decent? Unfortunately not. However―could you stop thinking about it? Unfortunately no as well. You’d been led to believe that you’ve been bewitched by the man himself, for―you’d never develop any kind of feelings for such an annoying boy.
Saying that you were annoyed was rather an understatement. You’d watch as Eugene make an utter fool of himself, walking you over to your classes, sitting with you during your lunches. Quite frankly, it was getting a bit overwhelming.
It was already tiring enough, having the attention of most students after being mistaken for Wednesday, and even having her stalker-fangirl ask you dreadful questions every waking moment.
“Don’t you have friends to run along to?” You finally spoke up, your voice clearly annoyed as you cut of Eugene during another one of his talking sessions. You’d tolerated far enough, and clearly, you’ve reached your limit as you stopped walking in the middle of the hall.
Eugene stopped shortly after you, looking at you before glancing away nervously. “I do―but i’d rather go with you.” His voice was cheeky, giggling slightly while his lips formed a smile.
“Do you have a death wish?” You quickly commented, your cheeks flushed a soft red for a moment, before you shook your head and glared at the boy infront of you. “I guess that’s why Wednesay called you the bee boy. You’re always annoyingly buzzing around people, don’t you get tired?” You added, the annoyance still clear on your voice as your eyes never left him, still keeping an icy look as you stood perfectly still on your spot.
“If admiring your beautiful face meant sentencing me to death, then I probably do.” Eugene says, fully smirking now as he shrugged and crossed his arms. Clearly, he noticed the way you reacted towards his comment, and for once, he felt as confident enough to continue talking to someone he was actually interested in.
God―this boy surely had a sneaky way to get the pace of your hearbeat going. “You’re insufferable, you know? Be grateful i tolerate you.” You finally responded after a moment, finally turning your head away, flustered from the random compliment you had just gotten, you’d quickly started walking towards the library.
“Hey bee! Wait for me!” You heard Eugene’s voice yell out to you, quickly hearing footsteps behind you afterwards―how were you ever gonna get away from this boy? Let alone after he called you another name. “It’s (Y/n). Where’d you even get ‘bee’ from?” You responded to his words, more annoyed than anything.
“Bee, like honeybee!” Eugene jokes, chuckling as he catches up to you, leaning in as he turns his head to look at you. You did your best not to evoke an reaction out of yourself, because you knew that was what Eugene wanted―and you were not about to succumb to a poorly constructed pun.
You continued to walk in silence, not giving Eugene the attention he so desperate wanted. Though eventually, you’ve finally reached the library where you’d started browsing each shelf for any books that you could use to study in advance for each lesson.
After the silent wall towards the library, along with the time that you’d spent continuesly browsing the library for books you were having a hard time finding, you’d figured that, if Eugene decided that he wouldn’t be leaving you alone any time now, that you’d atleast use him to your advantage. “You’ve been a student here for some time now, am I right?” You spoke out first, asking a seemingly normal question for Eugene as you continued to look through all the books inside the library.
“I’m looking for books about each subject. I plan to advance my studies.” You then added, stopping your hands in the middle of the books, clearly awaiting a response from Eugene as you stood still in your spot.
“Oh- uh, yeah! There’s more books up there. That’s where the subject assortments are.” Eugene finally answers your question, looking dumbfounded. He thought that you’d never actually speak to him the whole time, other than for berating him about the way he spoke so much, about how loud he was, and how he kept on following you around.
However, now he was more giggly and talkative as ever as he sat down on one of the seats downstairs, watching over your bag and other books that sat neatly on top of the table. “Can you stop speaking so loudly? We’re the only students here at the library, it’s not like i’m deaf. I can hear you just fine.” You commented about the volume of his voice, head aching as you didn’t do well in crowded and loud spaces, which is why you often avoided getting into those situations.
Eugene stopped speaking for a moment, then started speaking softly, about the way he was finally getting the hang of controlling other forms of bugs. You’d appreciated the gesture a lot, seeing how someone was actually listening to your words, unlike most people. You’d almost caught yourself smiling as you reached for the last book you needed, yet you stopped yourself―remembering the stuff that Wednesday had taught you before.
You actually listened, for awhile at least. Hearing about the way that Eugene had experimented, and how he figured out how to harness his own abilities, how he used these during certain situations, and for awhile―you actually enjoyed listening to him. Reading your books, while having your ears lended towards the soft voice that Eugene spoke with. It calmed you, somehow.
You couldn’t understand how, and why, however―amidst the contemplation that you were currently having between yourself, you knew that you liked the way Eugene sounded when he spoke towards. Even if you couldn’t admit it to yourself, but his voice comforted you more than most of the hobbies you had. Which were barely any, besides assisting Wednesday with her own experiments, helping Pugsley out in most of his class, and reading.
After some time, your eyes couldn’t help but start to get droopy. With every word you read on your book, your eyes were betraying you. With your chin upon your palm, you continued to slowly flip the pages of your book, each word becoming meaningless as your eyes finally falter, without you even realizing it.
Eugene, who had been browsing the first floor for books, more on biology, and studies of nature, was on his way back towards the table that you both currently used, and saw your sleeping figure. With your hand extended upwards, and your head laid atop of your extender arm, he smiled softly.
He admired the way your hair continued to fall so gracefully to the side of your face. The way that, even with only a few lanterns lit up around the library, they still illuminated your face. He sat down beside you, even with little space left, he placed both his arms on the table, before laying his head on top of them both. Then continued to gaze upon you face. Even when you were sleeping, her couldn’t help but admire the fact that―you still looked gorgeous.
The library was silent as always, where the only sounds he could hear was the silent breathing of both you, and him. All he could do was admire you, and brush a small strand of hair off your face as he uttered the words out, barely audible―“One day, i’ll be able to make you mine.”

People spoke so highly of yearning―as if glorifying the slow falling into despair itself, with no way to catch yourself.
Although, Wednesday was not one to fret. Known to avoid romance, drama, love. She knew, these were simply justification for people acting like utter morons―devoting their whole lives to the person they ‘love’, even without reciprocation.
“Utter fools.” Wednesday’s thoughts would speak, glaring at the couples that’d been spread out theoughout the whole academy. Truly a sight; God did she want to pluck her eyeballs out.
She’s had her fair share of romantic interests―to be frank, one sided admirations she proceeded to deny reciprocation. Why should she? She’s already lived through most her life avoiding teenage romance, why should she stop now?
Along with that, she could barely tolerate her parents affectionate selves―why should she follow neither of their footsteps? With her father kissing the mere ground that her mother stepped on, to her mother entertaining her father. She loathed it.
It was only until she introduced to one of Enid’s closest friends in the academy, did Wednesday realize the depth of her own mind.
It started with your public appearance. Being known as rather―a quiet persona. You weren’t the most bubbly person, unlike Enid―but you weren’t the most quiet either. Just the perfect mixture of both, where you could speak your mind freely whenever you wanted to, yet listen to the words of others when needed to. All with that small smile always forming on your lips, that just couldn’t seem to make Wednesday pull away.
You were known, but not popular. With a face that could encapture anyone’s heart, along with the personality of a saint―Wedneaday could only be more interested. Almost as if you were magnetic, with Wednesday only being unable to pull away.
Wednesday knew the reason for her slow fall. Even the most indifferent person couldn’t deny the kind of effect that you had on everybody.
When you shared your kind eyes to her upon your first meeting, Wednesday couldn’t deny the way it stirred something inside of her. The way your gentle hands felt the first time she took it, returning the hand shake you’ve offered her. It was as if you had completely witched her.
Although, her admiration had not ended there. Her gaze had only followed you around. During your classes, whenever you grew to be one of the person who participated the most in each class, unable to get an answer wrong. “Seems like you’re not all about appearances, are you?” Wednesday’s mind could only speak, whenever she had her gaze completely on you, unshaking.
During extra curriculars, whenever you would play archery. Almost as if bending the bow and arrow to your will, your hits were almost―if not perfect, in accuracy.
And her favourite―whenever you played the piano. With your hands moving freely across the tiles, with only a calm expression plastered across your face, although playing a difficult song. It was almost as if everything you touched slowly carved to best fit you―and only you.
Wednesday’s admiration couldn’t be helped, but only ever got developed as time went on. Although she took pride on being a straightforward person, directly avoiding long and dramatic confrontations―she couldn’t seem to speak out in words what ever may her feelings be towards you.
Although she’s known for her witty remarks, and a large extended vocabulary―it was one of the rare times she found herself at lost of words. Unable to describe what she felt towards you; and not even herself.
It was deep in the night when she chose to take a walk. Deep in the cemetery where she knew the forest hid places where she could have for herself. Away from the thought of being sorrounded by people―of being found by you.
Although, it seems as if fate has their own plans, as she was quick to bump against someone through the dark steps towards the cemetary. She was quick to react however―irritation consuming her ‘til she heard a voice that she found herself way too fond of.
“My apologies.” Your voice spoke out through the silence, with the sound of ruffling leaves below you both slowly dying down. Your voice could only be sensed as regretful, and apologetic, with it being barely audible―although, still clinging onto Wednesday’s mind.
Wednesday’s quick to her feet, straightening her posture and returning the same quiet―although still monotone voice towards you as she spoke up, “It’s you. My apologies, as well.” with her head slowly rising to take a look at you, while the only light that illuminated barely half of your face was the moon―shadowed by the leaves of each tree that sorrounded you both; God, did you look beautiful under the moonlight.
“In addition―what ever may have piqued your curiousity to travel outdoors this late?” Wednesday added to her words, voice almost filled with the same irritation she had earlier―for a different reason this time, however.
You could only stare at her for a moment, unable to construct a proper response as you could only stammer. You could only mutter up a simple, “I couldn’t sleep.” as a response to her question, stumbling upon your words on your way there, although―the seruous expression you had on your face cracking bit by bit, as the nervous feeling inside you bubbled up―unable to pop at the moment.
“And I suppose that your first thought after being unable to sleep is to risk your life out in the middle of the woods?” Wednesday’s voice dripped of sarcasm, although―the underlying tone of concerned could be distinctly heard for a mere moment as she crossed her arms and kept her gaze on you, just as you did.
“What I do with my time is none of your business, Wednesday.” You spoke in a more serious tone. It wasn’t filled with indifference, no―but the depth of your voice, the depth of your gaze. They spoke louder than any of your words could at the moment.
Wednesday could only stare at you at that moment―as if you’ve completely shifted onto a whole new different form infront of her. It seemed as if you couldn’t care less, though. With as you spoke, did you take immediate steps away from Wednesday, going the same direction that she had just come from.
Wednesday was quicker, however. Taking you wrist onto her hands, holding you firm wherver you currently stood as she turned around to face you, speaking once again in her same icy cold tone―“I need to speak to you.” with that underlying tone of concern. A tone you could dissect under her monotone voice, however―never paid attention to.
“Well, you better make it quick.” You spoke up immediately, taking your wirst back from Wednesday’s grasps as you adjusted to face her properly, taking the time to turn and rise your head slowly, taking a look at Wednesday who gre a new expression in her face. Contemplation, was it? As if she was arguing with her own mind.
“I have certain feelings towards you that I am currently unable to describe.” She stated, with a hasty pace―as if she refused to ponder at her own statement. Gardually building the confusion on your expression as you could only tilt your head once more, unable to read Wednesday, as always.
You could’ve sworn that you almost laughed, staring at the serious Wednesday infront of you. With the silence between you both almost sickening as you let your mind speak before you could even form a thought, “You mean you like me?”
“You know what i’m talking about.” Wednesday was more clear with her statement now, stepping closer towards you as her eyes held a sense of contemplation once more―the hesitation that you’ve felt since the moment that you’ve bumped into her.
Wednesday continued however, her words growing stronger by the moment as you felt the tension between you both cotninue to thicken, “I’ve longed for you, for what have felt like an eternity.” with each words only adding another layer for you to get through.
“And I know you’ve taken advantage of it.” Her words cut through the tension quick with those eight words. Her face only growing closer towards you, before it stopped only mere inches away from yours―with her gaze stuck to yours.
Wednesday could have already felt your pressense before you had even knocked om the door, with the quiet sound of your heel making it’s contact to the floor, along with your quiet voice calling out to her from the other side of the door, “Wednesday? Are you available right now?” stopping Wednesday right in her tracks, as her flipping across her books comes to a halt.
“You may enter.” Her response is quick, her tone barely softening as she stood up from where she sat, and awaited for you to take your step inside her dorm. With arms crossed, as if irritated by your question, although―her soft glare coukd only tell you otherwise.
“I was wondering if you could cover for me tonight?” You’d finally ask, after taking your few steps inside the room. Immediately closing the door behind you, as if afraid of anyone else being able to hear your conversation with Wednesday. She could barely contain her scoff, and the roll in her eyes. “Please? I’m going out with one of Enid’s pack-friend.” You ultimately added, stepping closer towards Wednesday as you practicely had been begging. All while you kept the quiet and soft persona that you’ve come with.
Wednesday could only stare. It wasn’t visible to you, no―but her ears were quick to perk up at your words. With her eyes glancing from the pleading eyes you gave her―to the voice that you always used on her whenever you needed another favour. Whenever you needed someone to cover for you, whenever you needed Wednesday to do another one of your dirty favours. You knew how to get her, and you used it.
As quick as you pleaded, did Wednesday nod. Unable to control her own actions, she scoffed once again and finally spoke up, letting her words break the silence between you both―“Fine, although you haven’t even been bothered to repay any of your other favours.” with such a condescending tone that could only make you chuckle in that same light hearted tone before you thanked her with another one of your smiles. God, she wished she’d never seen that smile, if she knew the control it had over her.
As quickly as you came did you leave, without any other words being exchanged you both. Wednesday resented the feeling of shallowness that came with your abscence―it couldn’t be helped, however. No matter how much she buried herself to her book, with endless writing. To the point of no sense, did it not bury her feelings deep down inside her like she wanted.
She proceeded to her extra curriculars, barely attending her fencing organization, hwoever she seemed almost present in the training grounds whenever she found herself aching once more. As if every moment that weren’t spent with you gave her chest an ache she was unable to identify.
Archery she tried, which only led to her burying herself down more in the shallow hole you’ve left inside her with your abscence. With the way you had only spoken to her whenever you needed something, whenever you needed another favour done. As if you abused the way she yearned for the kindness your personality had once shared with her. The ache was gnawing it’s way out of Wednesday’s chest, all the way to her very flesh and bones. With her blood only dripping out, slowly seeping onto the ground with no sign of stopping. Although―Wednesday could barely let her mind wander in thoughts like that. As if she denied every sign that you could be what she though of you―because she, Wednesday Addams herself, had put someone like you in a pedestal that she couldn’t seem to get you off of. What a hypocrite she was.
“Please.” A quiet plea left Wednesday’s mouth. A plea you’d never thought would ever come out of Wednesday Addams’s mouth herself. Her expression remained the same, although her voice had cracked under clear pressure. Her face was kept close to you, to the point where you could almost hear the increasing heartbeat that Wednesday’s chest held.
“I’d let you devour my organs, my flesh. I’d let you drink my tears, my blood. I’d let you consume my heart, my soul.” Her voice speaking slowly, the same pleading voice from before unable to be recognize under the growing sense of what seemed like desperation. An expression you’ve never been able to see in Wednesday’s face. A tone you’ve never heard of in her voice. It was as if Wednesday was unraveling, infront of you. For you.
Her last addition of words being, “If it makes you whole.” with the quiet ultimately taking over her voice completely. As she took this time to finally step back, as if regretting what she’d spoken of before. Although, no more words than that are spoken afterwards, leaving you standing―staring, as the only sounds that could be beard through the silence are the heavy breathing of the both of you. With no words being able to be said to break the silence that slowly killed you both.
It felt like the silence spanned from minutes, to decades. With neither of you being able to speak of anymore words. Although, the guilt you felt had already consumed you. Hearing Wednesday’s words, and remembering every moment that Wednesday had been speaking about. Every moment that you’ve sued Wednesday, only whenever you needed it―knowing her weakness. Knowing the thing that could make her cave in, in less than a second. You knew it was you―it was always you.
“Haven’t I already consumed you enough?” Were the only words you could utter out, your voice only dripping with the guilt that continued to swallow you whole. You knew you couldn’t reciprocate her feelings. You couldn’t. You wouldn’t. “Don’t choose me. Choose yourself.” You continued with your words, as you spoke with an underlying message to your words, hoping for Wednesday to pick up on them as you shook your head, refusing her advances.
Wednesday was quick to respond to your words, “Dignity dies, where desperation lies.” spoken with justification in her tone as she tried to reach out for you, the pleading undertone in her words disappearing completely, replaced with a sense of desperation that she could only hide well under her poetic voice. Monotone, though, filled with the emotions of a real poet.
“I know you’re unable to accept my confession. However, I know very well, you’re aware that I will continue admiring you.” Wednesday creates an addition to her words, finally stopping in her tracks. Her outstretched hands that reached for you, were slowly brought to her sides as she fixed her posture, tilting her head. Refusing to face you as she continued with her words, “If that is your assumption, or a thought that may have been conjured in your mind, then I am here to confirm it.”
“I’ll leave myself out for you to feed on, whenever you need it. If it means helping you become whole,” She stops inbetween her words for a moment, finally taking a moment to take a glance at you, before she continued to finish her words, “Again and again.” in a tone where you found unrecognizable for the first time. With the only thing being left after those words are the silence, and the longing gaze that you finally noticed Wednesday’s eyes held. With a small glimmer, you could never have noticed before, but now could.
If only you could take a moment to have continued memorizing every inch of her face, did you almost know every path to her face. Every freckle, every healing scar. It all went a way in a quick step out of your view, as Wednesday finally took this moment to start walking back towards the dormitories. Leaving you standing alone in the middle of the forest, emotions unbalanced, and unable to think about anything else at the moment.
You could only think to yourself, “Have I just lost her?” as you heard the rustling of leaves behind you, the rustling slowly growing quiet, until you’re left in the silence, replaying every moment you’d spent with Wednesday.
