As an engineering tutor Marion Price doesn’t often make use of the library facilities, instead spending most of her research time in labs or in the computer room attached to her department. Therefore, when her boss tasks her to collect the hardcopy of his thesis from the archives she confesses herself to being more than a little stumped at the layout of the building. Her confusion must be evident however, as Professor Mace, the head of the English department, stands from where he was reading the paper in the lobby to assist her.
