New (thrifted) kicks: vintage Cheaney for Alan McAfee PTBs. Corrected grain, but with those Commando soles I reckon they’ll be just the thing for bad winter weather. The design is simple, but well-proportioned, and they have one really interesting feature: there’s a 360° Goodyear welt, but only the first 270° are storm-welted: around the heel, there’s a normal flat welt.
