____________
I HAD SOOOO MUCH FUN MAKING THIS though it is admittedly a really vulnerable story to put out in public. I hope for this to appeal to trans MLM, and ppl who struggle to explore their desires and complexities due to IRL expectations, and end up enjoying fiction instead. Best friends to lovers trope, with a so-close-yet-so-far kinda vibe 🫶
uhhh so i have a new comic. i have not talked about it on tumblr. anyway read Perfect Boy it's about an nb trans boy (sky) who has a crush on his gay best friend (cobe) but dysphoria is making him shoot himself in the foot

Summary: One of the main reasons why you hate walking beside the field is the flying ball who can't seem to leave you alone. Well, at least it brought a hot guy with it, no?
You never liked sports.
Okay sure, you like watching people play sports, but ball games? You have to be as far as 3 feet away from the players if somebody insists on watching it live.
You always feel like you're a magnet for them and agreeing with your blockmates' plan to play volleyball while you watch on the sidelines was one of your dumbest decisions.
"Hey! You sure you don't wanna play?" One of your blockmates, Khel, called for you.
You shook your head and smiled at him wryly, "Nope, I'm good."
The field was massive, it was only fair for different groups to play around it. Students were doing their track-and-field PE subject on the other side, and some football athletes training on the other.
You were so sure that from where you were sitting, nothing bad was going to happen.
Sike.
Your friends saw it coming before you, but it was inevitable.
You felt a hard whack at the back of your head, catching you completely off-guard. Someone shouted from behind you while you try to shake away the blind spots in your vision.
A guy was now in front of you. He was talking to you and calling your name, but you just stare at him, when did Jin have a twin?
"Oh Jin," you marveled.
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" he panicked, his pretty eyes surveying you in panic.
You didn't hear the rest of your friends talk before you felt yourself being lifted from the ground.
"Wait!" You yelped.
"I'm taking you to the health service!"
"Woah, woah! Hold on Jin. I'm fine," you try to reason out, but you're slurring your words and your vision was spinning. Also, his movements are dizzying you even more, so you close your eyes and hid your face on his shoulder.
You heard him scoff, "fine, huh?"
The world is spinning, and it's not because of the pretty boy in front of you. You were more focused on telling yourself not to vomit than on the people asking you questions.
Seokjin panicked when it took you a while to respond to the nurse questioning you.
But the nurse remained calm and fetch an ice pack for you before she thoroughly examined you. After they gave you a few minutes to recover on your own, you were fine as a cucumber.
You tried to hide your laugh by placing your fist on your mouth when Seokjin winced at the nurse's scolding about him panicking.
"Sorry nurse. She's a..." he looked at you, gulping as he saw your teasing smile, "a friend. She's my friend!" he exclaimed, a little too loud earning another round of giggles from you and a raised eyebrow from the nurse.
"Uh-huh. Friend. Sure," she teased. Jin's ears turned red as warmth crept into his cheeks, he looked down and whined, "Nurse Joy..."
The kind nurse only patted him on the back before turning back to you.
"You should be good to go," she smiled at you kindly.
"Thank you, nurse. I told him that he didn't need to take me here, but he insisted," you whispered, pretending to not let Seokjin hear earning an indignant gasp from him.
"You said your world was spinning!" he defended himself, putting both of his hands on his hips.
Nurse Joy chuckled, "well, you must be too close."
You blushed at the nurse's remarks as you hid your face from them.
After a couple more checks and questions, you were released. Seokjin immediately goes on being a mama bird.
"I told you for the 10th time. I'm fine," you whined.
"Are you sure? You're not feeling dizzy anymore? Is there ringing in your ears? Tell me A.S.A.P when you felt something off, okay?"
You sighed, stopping in your tracks, and turning to him, "Jin. I'm okay. Don't worry. It's not the first time I was hit by a stray ball you know?"
Seokjin grimaced, touching his nape he apologized, "I'm really sorry about that. It's been too long since I played football."
"Well, I gotta tell you. You still got it," you laughed, and he only pouted.
"Let me treat you, at least."
You mock gasped, "Oh my god!"
"What?! What? Why? Do you feel anything?!" he panicked, holding both of your shoulders while checking your eyes, your face, your head.
"Are you asking me on a date?" you said, eyes wide and trying so hard not to laugh at him.
He cursed, pushing you slightly before turning away from you. At his reaction, you never bothered to hide your laughs anymore. The people around you two were starting to give you weird looks because you were having such a fun time while your companion was just staring at you, pouting with his arms crossed in front of him.
"You done?" he asked.
"Yeah, yeah. You can take me on a date now, Doctor."
You laughed again when he sighed. He turned away from you, murmuring, "you're lucky you're cute." But you're not sure if you heard him right.
This is your first time hanging out with Seokjin. He was the busiest among the bunch, and he usually wasn't home when you visit. You even had more time to talk to Hoseok—who was working on top of being the captain of their college's dance troupe—than him.
After always hanging out with Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin, you were already used to the eyes following you around whenever you were with any of them. But Seokjin was a different kind of head turner. A lot of people knew him, and he would always be polite to greet every single one of them.
It took you almost an hour to order and get your to-go boxes—which he decided along the way hoping you wouldn't mind.
"I'll see you around Dr. Lee," he bowed politely to the man he was talking to.
"Ah! I'm sorry to keep you away from your date," he chuckled at your flushed face before giving you a warm smile.
Seokjin laughed shyly but didn't bother to correct him dragging you along by placing an arm around your shoulders.
"I'm never gonna live this down," he sighed when both of you exited the establishment.
"It's fun to see you flustered Dr. Kim," you teased.
He glared at you before poking at your side, earning a loud shriek from you. You immediately clamped your mouth shut when the people walking around glared at you. Seokjin was laughing while you murmured an apology to no one in particular.
He took you back to the campus, leading you to the botanical garden.
Seokjin shared that it was one of his favorite spots to hang out on because it was more secluded than the rest of the more popular places inside the campus.
"I heard that this is where med students take their dates to do things," you said, wiggling your eyebrows at him jokingly.
And in true Seokjin fashion, he choked on his soda because of that.
You were laughing so hard that you were barely making a sound, squirming on your sit as you tried—and failed—to ask him if he was okay.
"You should be paying me for free comedy show," Seokjin said pouting while he cleaned himself.
You just stared at him, still with a smile and not responding.
He tried to avoid your gaze as he looked anywhere but you, already feeling the heat creeping on his cheeks. neck up to his ears again.
You sighed, "You're so easy to fluster."
"You just have good timing," he tried defending himself.
"Yeah, sure. Keep telling yourself that."
You chatted some more with him, moving to a friendlier location since your spot was already flooded with couples left and right. Both of you not being aware that the sun was setting.
A ping from your phone said that Jungkook was looking for you, asking you to eat dinner with him. Also ranting that he had a stressful day, and he needs you.
"Hey, Jungkook is asking me to dinner. You wanna come?" you said.
"Nah. I still got to do something, by the time I'm finished you guys might be done," he said, walking you to the Architecture building to meet Jungkook.
"And Jungkook will probably whine if he doesn't eat on time," you added making both of you laugh.
You heard your name being called from afar. It was Taehyung, waving frantically at you while Jungkook sat in front of him looking exhausted.
When you reached them, you immediately went to hug Jungkook as if it's an automatic response, "Awe. How's my baby?"
Seokjin looked at the both of you in confusion, he moved his gaze back to Taehyung who only shrugged in response.
When the three of you decided to go, Seokjin said his goodbyes as well.
"I'll see you guys at home, yeah?" he said to the two.
Then he turned to you, "And I'll see you again for our next date," he said before winking and skipping away.
You were left with your jaw on the floor and two boys screaming.
