“I’m only going to give you the chance to introduce yourself properly once. If you don’t… well, I’ll know that you don’t plan to be honest with me and I won’t bother to come back.”
He stares at me and his eyes, already naturally large and a bit protuberant, widen just a fraction more. I can practically see a retort forming in his mouth—no doubt some version of ‘you already know my name because I’ve given it countless times now.’ But he stops himself and instead asks, “Why are you making this sound like a game?”
“You can think of it like that, sure,” I say, moving to stand in front of him so as to be farther away from the door. His eyes watch as my hips lean back against the gun shelves, then return to my face as I continue, “So, then, let’s call your ‘prize’ for being honest… my real name.”

heyyyyy friends! back again with another chapter (and this one’s my favorite!). i feel like i probably say that every time i post, but this one is legit the best one. and it’s 42 pages long in Word, so it has to be good. you can’t argue that logic. enjoy!!
