Yes, there is a “Bermuda Triangle” in Alaska. (Barrow Anchorage Juneau)
There is indeed a "Bermuda Triangle" in Alaska. The most famous story is the one of a politician's plane that disappeared in 1972.
Many theories and hypotheses, try to explain the strange disappearances taking place in this immense zone. Officially, it's because of the dangerous weather conditions and the wild nature, abounding in traps and dangers, which causes these disappearances.
Some think of aliens, because of the story of a crew of a Japanese plane, affirming to have been followed or escorted by three UFOs while flying over the triangle. Otherwise, it is said that it is the work of the Kushtaka, a creature from the Tinglit folklore, equivalent to Bigfoot. Or it is also said that there could be a vortex in the heart of the triangle.
But the reality will probably never be discovered... or maybe the truth is that England may have had a magical experiment that messed up, when AK was a young wild territory

She’s the only one that had the balls to look Alfred in the eyes and say “She is a child, stop having her fight your wars.” She was the first one to recognize that I was just a child, and I had already been exposed to the horrors of war.
Monika: Jul, Annaliese and Ludwig. We’ve been a little family unit for centuries. I’s trust the three of them with my life.
Amelia: I used to look up to someone... not anymore.

New Hampshire, Alaska, and Puerto Rico
New Hampshire has featured in a few comics here and there. He is a pretty private guy and most of the States find him very off putting.
He is comfortable hiking in the woods and arguing law in a suit and tie among the other state. He’s very well educated and enjoys showing that off in front of other states, especially the Southern ones.
He doesn’t have any close friends, though he does talk with Vermont a lot. Massachusetts and New York both get under his skin pretty badly, and he theirs.
Connecticut is another state that comes by to visit from time to time. He jokes he is making proof of life checks on New Hampshire given how reclusive New Hampshire can be.
Aside from being a sharp student of law and taxes, he is a very accomplished artists, and his home is filled with landscape paintings. he also secretly sketches the other states while in meetings, and jokes that North Carolina funded his Colonies economy asking for portraits of South Carolina when South Carolina was a baby.
Alaska has been in a few comics, mostly showing her lack of empathy for her Native Population. She is a loud little state, and enjoys company, which means she often travels down to meet with the other states, or can be found in the company of some of her Native tribes, usually Unangan as she is the only one to even halfway welcome Alaska given the former (and current) abusive behavior. She especially liked visiting Texas, purely to remind him she is bigger. She will also seek out South Carolina because she likes how he tells stories.
She was originally a Russian Avatar but sold to the US to prevent the British Empire from Reaching all the way across the North. She didn’t mind as she is so remote she has little feel for a lot of the day to day politics, so she didn’t really consider the change a big deal and doesn’t understand why some states, notably New Mexico and Hawaii, get annoyed about things like that.
She’s not very empathetic and can be quite selfish and childish. She and Hawaii argue a lot.
She enjoys reality TV shows when she is alone and works on DIY projects. She is actually quite good at making her own clothes and such, but she enjoys showing off her goofy failures almost more than her success because they get everyone to laugh.
Puerto Rico has a fiery little spirit and is good friends with Hawaii and Florida both of whom support her in reminding uncle that she exists and is owed federal aid. She is also on good terms with the unofficial state of Forgottonia- illinoises little brother. She will often dress him up as her in order to get aid from the states because of their infuriating tendency to listen to a small white boy over her.
Forgottonia feels badly that this happens, but if he can help Puerto Rico out, he is glad to.
Though she faces more hardship than most States, she is very proud of herself and very determined. She does want to be a State, at this point more because they other States keep telling her no than any other reason. She won’t be told “No” when she believes she she should be allowed to do something. Like hawaii, she hates CEO with the passion of a burning sun, and the two can often be found plotting against him.
Puerto Rico is very mathematically inclined and often solves math puzzles to pass the time. She is currently working on a Prime Number theory that none of the other states understand, but she enjoys it and fills notebooks with her math theories. She has transformed this into being greatly skilled at economics, and Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and other States have sought her out for help with economic issues before.
To be honest, if the States would listen to her economic theories more often and not be so greedy, or racist, they would probably be doing better.
