25: Is there anything you would change now about this fic? Why or why not?

I think I'd change some of the details, make them more consistent throughout. Also, I'd spend more time with Gu-furen and the Socialites and devote more time to what they're doing in their spy ring.

I'd also probably adjust the ending enough that it doesn't feel as abrupt to me either--- three years later and I think I could finally write those dreaded politics enough that I'm not simply glossing over it completely.

(Also, some copy-editing re: typos, formatting, etc.)

Summary:

Yan Bingyun had hoped that after he left BeiQi, after he returned home to NanQing, he could quietly take back his position in his father's Fourth Bureau and resume normal life, but Fan Xian has a habit of messing with people's plans, and Yan Bingyun is no exception.

Shen-xiaojie didn't know what she had hoped for when she went running ahead of her brother to save the man she loved, but it wasn't this: pretending to be a cousin of the Fan family while acting as though she had never been to BeiQi in her life.
