Genevitae
Genevitae is an extremely rare disease that most don’t even realise it’s effects as many die before they can truly take place. It is found to be most common in those who have taken on he life element due to the inherent usage of raw energy.
Genevitae slowly kills it’s host by growing vine like threads through the person’s energy flows and subsequently through their blood stream as more and more pure energy is used. This disease has no known cure and it is speculated that it could carry over through reincarnations if anyone is able to achieve such a feat.
Flower like patterns develop across the host’s skin - the only symptom that others are able to see - the more flowers, the closer the person is to death. The disease has been described as thrones tearing through the host’s lungs, heart, and limbs as it spreads throughout the blood stream.

Normal People vs Guardians vs Gods
There are four different degrees of powers: Usage, Control, Authority and Creation. Usage and Control differ based on the element, physical elements require control and non-physical elements require usage instead. Normal people utilise control and usage of the elements whereas the Guardians utilise Authority over the elements. They are able to control their element to a much more intricate degree. The Gods utilised creation, being able to create and control their element on a cosmic level - changing everything as it trickles down.
Eg. Life - each person has an assigned constellation that protects them as well as being able to heal with certain materials and surrounding energy. Whereas the guardian is able to use a persons energy (their physical lifeforce) to heal even fatal wounds as well as call upon multiple constellations at a time. The god is able to mass heal, bring back a just lost life, as well as create the constellations that others call upon.
Physical elements - People require the physical element to be present to be able to control it whereas the guardians are able to conjure the element.
Pronouns and Gender
The realm of Alavi doesn’t have any specific ideal of gender like the realm of earth has. Instead they have elected to only adopt some of the chosen pronouns that are seen around the different realms as their own. Everyone just chooses what they prefer and everyone respects those ideals.
This does not mean that any character specifically has traits of their chosen pronouns as the species differ from the humans on earth and thus don’t have anything specific to a gender. The pronouns are just a choice each one makes themselves.
The Era’s of the Realm
There are currently a total of 5 noticeable eras that formed the foundation of the world and led to the current age:
1) Genesis - The era of the gods.
This was the time of creation, the gods building this world to house all the species and the elements. The gods held dominion over all, giving out fractions of their power to their disciples, infusing them with energy. The realm lived in peace till the gods decided to not just create, but destroy as they wished.
2) Anarchy - The era of fortitude.
The people of the realm quickly grew restless under the tyranny of the gods, and thus rebellions formed. The revolution began, trying to take back their own peace by bringing an end to the gods. No one believed it was possible until it came true. There was extreme backlash on the world as each god perished - leaving it in a state of disarray and discontent. The elements and the people we shattered.
3) Rupture - The era of isolation.
After the war - many smaller battles broke out for resources and power in the wake of freedom. After a long struggle, each species sent a representative to try bring about some peace. What ended up being decided was to separate and isolate - each forming their own communities. For centuries, meeting between species was banned. During this time, the powers of the elements slowly returned and reformed in the world - creating an entirely new system.
4) Annihilation - The era of alliance.
When evil forces began to threaten the entirety of the realm, the civilisations had to act and work with one another in order to not meet their end. As one person sought for the power of the gods - others utilised the powers they had earned to defeat him.
5) Atonement - The age of salvation.
This is the current age of the world. One of peace and redefining society. Many wish to seek out a way for everyone to interact together and the communities are beginning to mix again. But is it all really so peaceful?
