Amal Al Raisi’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection
Amal Al Raisi’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection draws inspiration from Al Baleed, a UNESCO world heritage site in Oman. This archeological site used to serve as a trading hub between the West and the Far East. Just like that, this collection features traditional designs with a modern twist to connect the West and East. To pay homage to this rich history of Oman, Amal created unique prints to outline the port’s historic story featuring shapes of the continents to enhance the nautical backdrop of this muse. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection is dedicated to bridging the gap between the East and the West. Like every collection, this too is derived from her patriotism and devotion to her country. Her passion to put Oman on the international fashion map is evident in this collection with the use of colors such as spiced apple depicting the desert. This is blended with shades of green such as eden green, vibrant green and desert sage along with hues of mellow rose to create a sense of femininity. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection radiates sophistication and timeless elegance signifying the richness of Amal Al Raisi’s designs.
