#FBF: Happy “Flashback Friday”!! Flashing over to yesterday afternoon with my City of Troy,NY adventures & 70 Degree weather!! It was a nice afternoon eating my Duncan’s Dairy Bar cinnamon bun for brunch at Riverfront Park! I stumbled upon Rachel Baxter’s beautiful painting, “Still Live, With Gratitude” along the stairway leading to Riverfront Park & Front Street. This was painted to honor those whose lives were lost during COVID-19 & to show gratitude for the essential workers who continue to take care of us and help us get through the pandemic. Poet, D. Colin recited two poems that she wrote, including “What We Have Now”. Baxter’s painting will be traveling through various Capital Region locations & counties from now through April 2,2021 & visitors can leave a message on the painting while taking a moment of peace and reflection. This event is sponsored by @unitedway_gcr United Way Greater Capital Region & Albany Center Gallery @albanycentergallery !! Thank you Rachel & D. For your beautiful art and for paying homage for those who have been affected by this pandemic. Head over to Albany Center Gallery’s Instagram page to see where this painting is heading!!
