The Gardevoir planted a kiss upon each of the weapon’s cheeks. A voice rang in Maka’s head, feminine in nature. :Hello, Miss. I hear you are one of my master’s friends?:
❝You do realize it's nighttime right?❞
❝I dunno if you're a newbie but we're supposed to be in bed..❞ She yawns and stretches, pulling her black pajama top back down after it seemingly followed her stretching as well.
❝Though I've never seen you before..❞

❝ Please -- Please just wake up... ❞ Maka mumbled the same words over and over again, whispering and pleading with a self she just couldn't seem to connect to anymore. But she never stopped trying. For however long she'd been locked inside of the darkness of her mind, Maka never gave up. Sure some days had more fight than others, but she never stopped trying, even if all she could do was draw Lord Death's number on the fake windows of a fake Death City. ' Does anyone bother trying anymore? Have they given up on getting me back? ' Dark thoughts. What good were dark thoughts. She needed positiveness. She needed to find a light in the darkness somehow because that was the only way to survive. She knew that. ' Soul. Black Star. Kid. The Thompson sisters. Tsubaki. Those were her lights. Hell, even her father made a brief appearance in her thoughts. She stood in the center of the basketball court now, the place where they'd all laugh and try to pretend they were normal teenagers. She stood there and stared up at the dark starless sky and screamed. ❝ I'm not giving up! You hear me! I'm not giving up damn it! I'll beat you! ❞
She'd been intending to go to the park today, and it'd been going well for the most part. Then she tripped on a rock and fell on her face. When she looked up, though, suddenly she was someplace she'd never been to before. The people that'd been around weren't there anymore. It didn't look like anybody at all had been here for quite a while. Freaked out about the fact that this new city she somehow ended up in was seemingly empty, this creepy place took a huge turn for the worse when she found something.
A corpse.
Letting out a rather loud and high-pitched scream of terror, the middleschool-aged girl began running until she ran out of breath, hoping against hope that the corpse wasn't actually a real dead person and that it was just like... A stage prop or something. Leaning against a building while she caught her breath, Akari thought she heard something coming. Looking in the direction she heard noise, she saw something even worse than a city full of nothing but a dead person; a girl who looked happy to be there.
Doing her best to keep quiet, but still making more noise than she wanted to right now, Akari pressed herself against the wall she'd been leaning on, hoping that the smiling girl wouldn't notice her. There was no way someone that was smiling in a place like this could be normal, or safe.
