Well, Alber finally read his romantic poem (one of them) to the prince. It worked even better than he thought.
Felicia ticked it off in her shipper book.
These two… (cries)
A poem dedicated to the moment in Alber's childhood when he learned of the death of Prince Carrius (at that time, Alber strongly identified with him and generally dreamed of the prince's life).
Of course, it would sound much "smoother" in my native language, but my friend and I tried to translate it as best we could. We tried to convey all the important details without breaking the rhythmic structure too much.
One evening, cold, I remember I held a book in my hands My finger traced, so tender The lines of your face
Of course, this simple picture, It held no life and no warmth But your imperial features Was beckoning me forth.
Are we alike? I wondered A prince and a servant boy I, too, may become a royal, Much more, than a noble's toy.
The windows were torn wide open By storm, an unwelcome guest The candlelight died, heartbroken And darkness had covered the rest
The grave was cold, I remember Entire estate was cold My tears were flowing, unending The candles were not at fault.
How I adore the relationship between Alber and Prince Carrius, if you only knew… These two are so wonderful that I will do everything possible to ensure that Carrius survives in our version of "War for the Crown". Alber, preferably, too.
My beloved boys... <3
Alber canonically tells fortunes on Harrow. Even when he himself is not happy about it.
True, Prince Carrius constantly gets "The Waxworks" - a symbol of physical helplessness, freezing in horror. It can also mean a loss of control over oneself.
And Alber first gets a result that briefly sounds like "you already know the truth, you just don't like it, so you don't want to see it." And then an additional card: "Your role is to observe, without being able to change someone else's fate" ("The Theater").
(crying sounds)
Alber expected any costume from the prince at the masquerade. Except that Carrius would also appear in black feathers :D
