taom cast in their respective art styles! (spirit of pip possessed me to do this)
So happy to have the opportunity to work as a cleanup animator on the The Art of Murder pilot by @chocchipanim! Had to do a piece featuring the characters to celebrate the pilot launch & 1 Million views milestone! It's a fun pop culture parody, murder mystery musical series that features characters that comes to life every night, like Toy Story but drawings!! This piece I made will also be a part of The Art Of Murder exhibition which will be held at Kinokuniya Sydney, Australia in January 2025. If you’re there close by around that time, do consider visiting it!
when an indie studio makes a better disney princess than disney?????
almond blossom my beloved…
anyways go watch the art of murder on YouTube it’s rly good 👍
Need A Hand?
AN: So I’ve had this idea floating around ever since watching taom pilot because like. How would they react if they were drawn getting tickled? & I think Giorgio deserves it the most. Here’s day 17: escape. In which he escapes the sketchbook, but not so much his friend.
Giorgio kept a hand plastered over his mouth as he tried to sit up, fending off an arsenal of feathers and brushes.
Of all the things Pip could've drawn- of all the compromising positions to put him in, why did it have to be tickling?
Every time he squirmed or tried to sit up, the feathers would brush against his skin. He couldn't stop giggling, scrambling around on the page as he tried to escape their torment.
With a rustle of paper, he heard a familiar voice. "Giorgio? Is that you?"
"Uh, y-yeah!"
"You're already awake? What are you still doing on the page, silly?" she asked, walking over to the corner of the sketchbook, flipping the page to help her friend come out. They all got a little stuck sometimes.
"NO WAIT DON'T!" he yelled, desperate to not be seen like this. Especially not by her!
It took Albie a moment to realize what was going on, but once she did, she tried her best to suppress her own laughter.
"Sooo... whatcha doin'?"
"Shut up!" he snapped, crawling away on his stomach.
"Hey, that's not nice! It was just a question," she said innocently. She walked over, kneeling down beside him. "Need a hand?"
Giorgio looked away with a huff, but accepted her help. "If you're offering."
As soon as he grabbed her hand, he felt himself get yanked clean off the page... And straight into Albie's lap.
They were both flushed from the close contact, and Giorgio quickly moved to get off of her.
"Sorry, I wasn't really ready," he apologized, looking anywhere but at her.
"Oh it's fine! You looked like you were in a tickle- sorry, I meant pickle," she teased, giggling when he shot her an unamused glare.
"Sure you dihihid! Hehey, what gihihives?" His snarky reply gave way to bubbly laughter as she struck from behind. Perfectly manicured nails scratched gently over his ribs, and he doubled over trying to shield himself.
"I just found out you're ticklish! Did you really expect me not to investigate, Mr. Detective?"
He groaned; half embarrassment, half annoyance.
"Ihihi was hoping!"
"Hm, maybe dream a little harder next time."
"Next time?" he yelped, voice cracking through his laughter.
"How else am I gonna keep you in line?" she asked, pinching down his sides until hiccups mingled with his giggles.
"You dohohon't!" he pleaded, managing to grab ahold of her wrists. Conveniently, he was too weak from laughter to shove her off.
"Well someone has to!" she reasoned, continuing to seek out his ticklish spots.
No wonder Pip drew him getting tickled; he was adorable like this! Not that she'd ever admit it, but she could appreciate the view.
"WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PIP'S SKETCHBOOK!~"
