Ooooh, such a good album! Let me see…

Favorite lyric: "I'm not one to ever pray for mercy Or to wish on pennies in the fountain or the shrine But that day, you know I left my money And I thought of you only, all that copper glowing fine." -The Shrine/An Argument. Such a beautifully descriptive and wistful little piece there.

Favorite song: Gotta be what I just said, "The Shrine/An Argument." The way it starts with such soft and intricate fingerpicking but still with that dangerous undercurrent, to when it bursts forth in real desperation. The way that "suuuun liiiiiight o-ver mE NO MAAATTEEEER what I dooooo...." makes me want to burst out of my own skin. The way that somebody makes it sound like a bass clarinet is being run over by an 18-wheeler. It's just everything.

A song that makes me cry: Not cry per se, but "Blue Spotted Tail" does have me feeling a good deal of ennui.

The song that's a fucking bop: Grown Ocean! That's such a bright and joyous way to end the album.

The song I most dislike/least love: I was never the biggest fan of "Battery Kinzie." I just don't get it. It sounds like a very weird outlier to me. Based off of this ask Thank you!!!!

-the first song from this album I heard: I'm not 100% sure, but probably Wild Horses.

-do I own the album?: Yep, I actually have the vinyl with the album cover that has the metal zipper. (It took ages to find as an LP).

-my favorite song: Either Moonlight Mile or Sister Morphine. It's so hard to choose, everything on this album is good.

-my least favorite song: You Gotta Move. I don't dislike the song, I just never listen to it unless I'm listening to the album all the way through.

-a song I didn’t like at first, but now do: Bitch. Bobby Keys kills on that song.

2. Do I own the album?: Yeah. Huh. I didn't even realize I had a copy.

3. My favorite song: Zakuro Is that TOO obvious of an answer?! It just launches you into sad bitch hours, and I love that.

4. My least favorite song: Taiyou no ao (pls scroll down for #6's answer)

5. A song I didn’t like at first, but now do: riyuu/wake Didn't care much for the song until the remake.

6. A song I used to like, but now don’t: Taiyou no ao I used to like it. Cause it sounded so normal. And soft. Oh god. Listen. Back when I was like 11 or something. I read a kyo fanfic on Quizilla (rip quizilla) and OP had kyo singing some idk Nickelback or Three Doors Down song, and inserted an embedded 144p youtube video of Taiyou no ao and told the readers to pretend kyo was singing that nickelback song. And it completely ruined the song for me. Forever.

8. Overall rating out of 10: 5 / 10 I know I'm gunna get dragged for this. I KNOW Y'ALL LOVE THIS ALBUM. I've never been a big fan of Macabre. I think it's fun and eerie. It just was never for me. There are a couple songs I liked back then. And currently there are a couple songs I will listen to. Listen I like the live performances of the album. And i really enjoy the remakes of the songs off MACABRE. Rasetsukoku remake and deity live are fucking so so fun. But I very rarely go out of my way to listen to the original tracks. I just prefer listening to a lot of other songs from every other album lol
