And my next ablum month is almost here! What you see in this collage are 12 albums that I have pre-selected for definite inclusion this time around--all of them are new to me. (Recognize any of them?) I start the ball rolling tomorrow (1st June), so check out and follow my Facebook page to keep up with my daily album listenings. 😊 [Should I also post them here? Are any of you interested in seeing them? What do you all think? Let me know in the comments.] . . . Background: Since I don't get to sitting and absorbing albums like I used to, I have decided that, every so often, I will devote a month to sitting with at least one album daily. The albums I choose are typically either albums I have never heard, have heard once and need to get to know, or haven't heard in a long time and want ro revisit. Sometimes I just decide to rock out to favorites, or, in some sad cases, I listen in honor of artists that have just passed or in memorium at a 'death day' anniversary. . I usually include a write up about the album and my thoughts on it/reactions to it, listing my favorites and tracks that stand out for one reason or another. The vast majority of my music collection (along with my vinyl and record player) is all /still/currently in storage, so most of my listening will be coming from albums I have acquired since I moved into this place, most having been found at thrift stores, garage sales, used shops, and, in particular, the local library book & media sales. Thrifting for music is a fantastic way to fill gaps in a collection, come across rare items for next to nothing, and pick up albums to explore based solely on the covers (or bands you never heard of) without breaking the bank. Give it a go. It's mad fun! . . . #Music #Albums #AlbumMonth #June2018 #byaquadonia
