hey guys, i’m D. so I suck, I knew this already, but I've been lurking around here and I haven’t posted an intro (but at the same time I'm like why won't they love me?). anyways, I apologize. I created a playlist that's basically my inspiration for my boy Albus.
Here’s his bio and some wanted connections (possibly, no please, really plot with me):
albus is such an angsty boy. he’s like super upset by the world, like the little angsty teenager he is, but at the same time he’s like really wise and interesting. he’s an angsty old soul. (think nick miller from new girl)
albus will seriously defend his family. he’s super loyal to being a potter, but it’s different than what they would have liked from him. he’ll get into fights, and usually end up winning, because someone offended his family.
albus has mixed feelings about being sorted into Slytherin. he knows he belongs as a Slytherin, but he’s bitter about it. he wants to impress his parents, but he knows he never will, so sometimes he’ll act out because of it.
albus loves to gamble and sometimes he wins and sometimes he loses. he’s either living the luxurious lifestyle for a few weeks, or he’ll be living averagely, but he’s usually never broke and that’s because of his side business.
albus is secretly known for having a wide variety of drugs on him and a diverse selection of papers for sale. he’s super smart, and of course, the drugs help him make the money he needs.
albus isn’t good with emotions. he’ll usually calm up and become awkward when asked about his feelings or become really angry.
basically he’s a dick, but you’ll love him for it, trust me.
best friend- through thick and thin these two got each other.
bad friends- gambling buddies, drinking buddies, stoner buddies. basically any type of bad influence on him.
friends with benefits he’s secretly in love with- explains all. they’ve been hooking up on and off for a while, but she doesn't know it, because he’s bad with emotions.
enemy- they definitely don’t like each other and there’s a feud between them that dates back to the first year.
Break me - Drink me - Fight me - Haunt me [lol, have fun, friend <3]
Break Me: I will write an angsty drabble about our characters.
A/N: LETS ASSUME THIS IS IN THE FUTURE. OK? OK.
Every Weasley/Potter had their own sort of relationship with Molly Weasley I. And every Weasley/Potter was handling the death of the older woman in a different way. In Rose’s case, she went with the isolation route. She generally handled her emotions by closing herself off from other people.
Albus always seemed to be an exception though.
He arrived at the Weasley/Granger house via Floo and was told that Rose should be in her room. But when he walked in he didn’t find her on her bed or sitting at her desk. Instead he found her on the roof. This was Rose’s own little hiding spot. Her room had a medium sized window that overlooked the back garden and often opened it up and sat on the roof she needed space. Being up in high places always seemed to clear Rose’s mind.
Poking his head out the window, he looked at the ginger. Without saying a word he expertly (he had done this a few too many times before) climbed through the window and onto the roof, taking a seat next to Rose. Being in each other’s presence was comforting and Albus decided that Rose would talk when she was ready.
They had been sitting in silence for about five minutes, just staring off into space, when Rose finally spoke up. “I haven’t cried.”
Albus didn’t know how to react to that confession. He wouldn’t admit it, but he had cried quite a bit up until now when he felt like he had run out of tears. So he stayed quiet.
“I feel like shit, and I’m sad. But I haven’t cried… And I feel bad about it which just makes me feel even more like shit and just keeps the cycle going.”
Softly, Albus inquired, “Why do you feel bad about it?”
“Because-” Rose struggled to put her feelings into words, “Because she was important. Because everyone else has been bawling their bloody eyes out. Because everyone else has been freaking out over her passing and all I can do is sit here and feel numb.”
There was a few more seconds of silence. Then Rose sighed. “She deserves it. She deserves everyone making a fuss about her not being here. About her never coming back. She wouldn’t have wanted it, but she deserves it because it shows just how much she will be missed…”
“Just because you haven’t cried doesn’t mean you don’t miss her.”
There was a pause.
“I feel awful.”
“I think we all do, Rosie.”
Then another moment of silence.
“…. I didn’t even get to say goodbye… Or tell her what she means to me… She’ll never know…”
Albus turned to look at her. Her eyes were trailed down at the roof titles. He lifted his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders, pulling her into his side.
“She knows, Rosie…. She knows.”
Then they sat there until the sun came down, not crying together.
Drink Me: I will write a drabble about my character taking shots with yours.
Rose had a method to attending parties. She generally tried to avoid them, but one way or another she always got dragged into them. So she created this simple method.
Step one: show up.
Step two: look for someone she knew.
Step three: approach them in a friendly manner.
Step four: discuss something they share in common.
Step five (the final step): get them to drink with her.
In this case, Rose was standing off towards the side of the room with one arm loosely wrapped around her waist and the other holding a red cup filled with, well she wasn’t really sure. But it was strong so she assumed it was Muggle Liquor. She scanned the room and sent unimpressed glares towards her fellow classmates. They were all acting like children. Rose looked generally upset for someone who was on the winning team of the day’s Quidditch Math. But the truth was she hated these parties, even if they were meant for celebrating her team. In her eyes, they just gave people an excuse to drink and act like idiots.
Then suddenly her eyes fell on a familiar face who looked to be doing just about the same thing as Rose, except he didn’t have a cup in his hand. And the redhead knew for a fact that he hated parties just as much, if not more, than she did. With a smirk on her face, Rose pushed herself off the wall she was leaning on and made her way over to him. She made a quick pitstop on her way across the room at the drinks table that the Gryffindors were so kind to set up. It was messy and covered in left behind red cups and half empty bottles of alcohol. Rose ditched her own cup and traded it in for a bottle of Firewhiskey and two shot glasses before continuing her journey across the room.
“You look like you’re having a great time,” Rose announced, partly shouting over the loud music. She noticed Albus jumped slightly at her sudden appearance before a lazy smile fell on his lips.
“You know parties aren’t really my thing,” he replied at the same volume Rose used.
“Yeah I know. Which is why I’ve come to relieve you of that pained expression on your face.” She thrusted one of shot glasses into his hand. Using her now free hand to twist open the bottle, she gave me a cheeky look before pouring the liquid into her own shot glass and then Albus’. There were no words exchanged. This wasn’t anything she hadn’t forced him to do before. By now Albus just sort of learned to go with it, much like all of Rose’s antics.
She brought the small glass up to her lips and gave Al a look that encouraged him to do the same. Then she counted down. “3…2…1!” Throwing her head back and letting the burning liquor go down her throat. Albus’s face looked less than pleasant, which cause a giggle to erupt from Rose before she asked, “Want to go again?”
Fight Me: I will write a drabble out my character fighting against yours.
“Al just shut up already!” Rose roared, turning on her heel so her back was facing him. Her face was hot which only proved how utterly frustrated she was with him. She had been passive aggressive about him following her around for too long. He was in the middle of saying something along the lines of “It’s not a crime to want to keep an eye on you” when she cut him off. A small groan falling from her lips as she ran a hand through her hair.
“I don’t want you to feel like you need to look after me all the time! I certainly don’t need you to be treating me like a child! I can bloody well take care of myself and you know it! Just leave me alone already!” she was shouting now with her face towards him. Her mouth was scrunched up into a scowl but her eyes didn’t quite match. They weren’t exactly burning with fury, but rather filled with sadness and desperation.
“Rosie,” Albus replied calmly, “I never said you couldn’t take care of yourself. I just-”
“You just what Al?! You just think that if something were to happen to me you could be the one to swoop in and save me?! I don’t need you to be some dumb knight in shining armor! ‘Sides, if a situation were to occur were I- or the both of us- were in danger I’d clearly be the one saving your ass because I’m the bett-” she cut herself off right then. She was frustrated but she didn’t want to take it out on him in that way.
But Albus knew. Albus knew where she was going with that statement. “You’re the what, Rose?”
She groaned and turned around again. “Ugh! Nothing! Forget I said anything…”
“No. No I want to hear you out. I want to know what you think you are,” he insisted, his voice rising now. “Just say it if you think it’s true.”
“I’m the better dueler because I’m not weak like you!” She hollered at him, spinning around to face him. Now there was the fury in her eyes.
There was a lingering silence as Rose’s words echoed. As soon as they left her mouth she regretted them, but she didn’t back down. Albus just stared blankly at her in return.
“Well if that’s how you really feel,” he muttered.
Rose sighed and shut her eyes for a quick second. “Shit… Al I didn’t-”
“You wouldn’t have said it if you didn’t mean it,” he replied in a cold voice but it stung Rose.
She was at a loss for words. And Rose Weasley was hardly ever at a loss for words. She just stood there, opening and closing her mouth, waiting for the right words to come out. But before they could, Albus broke eye contact and shook his head. “I was just trying to help.” And with that, he turned on his heel to leave.
“Albus! Wait!” she called out. But made no move to run after him.
And he kept moving on until he was nothing but a shadow and Rose was left alone in the corridor.
Haunt Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character watching over yours [watching from a distance.]
A/N: This is so ridiculous but I actually like it???
Rose had this theory you see. A theroy that her dear sweet cousin Albus had a crush. The only problem was that she couldn’t figure out who it was. So, instead of asking him about it like a any normal person would, she decided to follow him around and see if he talked to anybody interesting.
She tried to be sneaky about it. Hiding behind students when she followed him in the corridors (which wasn’t hard considering how short she was) or books when she sat a few tables behind him in the library. But following him down to the dungeons wasn’t as easy.
She would wait and hide behind walls ‘til he turned a corner and then proceed to follow after him. This worked out pretty well until Albus got to the entrance of the Slytherin common room and vanished. Rose quickly realized that she couldn’t follow him in there. One reason being it would be too obvious and the second reason being that she didn’t know the password to get in. She stood pacing outside the entrance to the Slytherin common room for about three minutes before a second year emerged and Rose got an idea.
“Hey kid!” she called out, making the second year pause in his tracks. He seemed nervous that Rose was talking to him. Though she didn’t quite understand why. “Do you know who Albus Potter is?”
The kid scoffed. “Yeah? Doesn’t everyone?”
“Riiiiight. Well I’ll give you ten quid if you go back in that common room and tell me what he’s doing and/or who he’s talking to-”
Suddenly Rose was cut off by footsteps behind her and a familiar voice calling her name. She turned quickly to see Lucy approaching the two with a mixture of confusion and amusement on her face.
“Oh… Hey Luce! What’s up?” Rose tried to act casual.
“I was just heading to my dorm to relax before dinner… What are you doing here?” she asked, a little suspicious of her cousin.
“Hm? Me? Oh nothing! Nothing, I was just-”
The second year chose to speak up then. “She was going to pay me to st-”
Rose panicked and quickly slammed her hand over the little boy’s mouth.
“St-Start a poll in the Slytherin common room! Yeah um, it’s a little extra credit assignment I’m doing for Muggle Studies. I wanted to know how many Slytherins own a cell phone. But I don’t really need this kid’s assistance anymore,” she lied through her teeth, sending the little boy a death glare before removing her hand from his mouth, “So uh, you can run along now.”
With that being said, the kid took off running away from the two girls. Lucy utterly confused and Rose a little ticked off that he was about to rat her out.
“Well then… Did you want to come in? I could help you with your-”
Rose’s eyes widened. She couldn’t let her cousin know her true intentions. Then she might tell Albus and he would laugh at her for years. “Actually!” she cut the Slytherin girl off, “I’m gonna go and take my poll to the Hufflepuffs. Get Hugo to help me or something. Thanks for the offer though!” Then without saying another word, she brushed passed Lucy and dashed away.
So maybe her plan wasn’t successful. But she could always go back to keeping an eye on Albus at dinner.
