Officer Conners dressed in a more protected uniform than the last time he was at the hospital - He had a rather busy morning up at the local jail over a confrontation that turned ugly when makeshift weapons where drawn from two inmates inside, it was an ordeal of dealing with them and worrying about getting hurt or the team, thankfully it was dealt with rather easily and Drake and his team got out of the situation safely though for the guy that was trying to protect himself ended up getting hurt fairly badly from falling on the hard jail floor. Constable had been up at the hospital on surgical floor standing by the front desk that afternoon signing in an inmate from the local jail over an head injury and needing to be further examined. Holding the clip board in his gloved hands with a pen he stopped what he was doing looking up to spot a pretty familiar face which resulted in him smiling towards her. "Is that so eh? Funny enough I have been thinking of you as well. How were your holidays? Hopefully you had a less eventful one than myself." Drake chuckled whilst looking down at the paper and finishing the last of the form before handing it back to the desk. "Thanks." He said calmly to the younger nurse than walked towards Lily. "Hey eh? What are you doing for lunch break?" Drake asked giving her a look over. "busy morning hm?" He asked smirking a bit as he pointed towards some blood on her white coat. "Come let me get you a coffee."

░░░░░░ ☾ she sighs, leans back against the sofa. lily thinks about all the times she’s followed her gut and got it right: the quick fire of a shield spell, the flash of a phoenix on someone’s forearm, a portkey that takes her home.

she thinks of all the times it could have gone wrong.

“i wouldn’t be so sure of that.” she murmurs. if she focuses she can feel the panic there now, sitting curled up in the bottom of her stomach, almost harmless. it’s a little like begging to be broken. “or at least, i wouldn’t be trusting yours.” she turns her melancholy into an echo of a sly smile. “when’s the last time you made a smart decision, huh?”
