SOMETHING OF A SHORT-LIVED SMILE FORMED, DISAPPEARING IN A BITTER CHUCKLE. He found himself in a hall, supposedly dedicated to science. ‘Heretics’ amassed by the thousands from all walks of life. His interest in some of the pieces on display got him caught up in conversation with other visitors and scientists. One of them posed the question that brought this reaction of his forth, about whether he knew of some place to conduct research in private.
“I HAD MY OWN PRIVATE LABORATORY BEFORE. THEY EVEN HAD ABANDONED ONES IN THIS OTHER REALM TO MAKE USE OF. BUT HERE? WHY WOULD THEY OFFER THAT?“
