LOCATION: vida's home, early morning.
FOR: morgan acklery.
IT HAD TAKEN VIDA a moment when she'd awoken that morning to process what had happened the night before -- how she'd been so quick to grasp her keys and drive in the direction of her work place like the wheel was on fire. her guest room was a fucking mess -- full of boxes she still just hadn't quite found the energy to find a proper place for. thus, she'd given morgan the bed in favor of the couch. there was so much she wanted to say. so much she thought she'd be able to swallow, but they just kept finding a home at the tip of her tongue. the last thing she'd ever wanted was to make morgan feel like her situation at the time was taken advantage of. when she finally rises, places her feet on the floor before heading in the direction of her kitchen -- she quickly finds a rhythm in cooking. that is, until morgan emerges, the smell of coffee, eggs and sausage filling the room in quick succession.
" h -- hey. " vida says with a gentle smile. while there's some fear in her voice, the smile is genuine. not thin-lipped, not hiding anything. it's as honest as she's able to be without feeling nauseous. " how are you feelin'? i just brewed a fresh pot, if y'want some. " the conversation needed to happen, no matter if she was terrified or not. " i'm... i'm glad y'reached out to me. last night... i mean. "
